Suns vs. Clippers Player Props, Picks: Best Bets for George & Booker (June 24)

Last night it was the Hawks and Bucks, tonight it’s the Clippers and Suns. As mentioned above, NBA betting analyst Sloan Piva has already previewed the spread of Game 3. So in this article, I’ll be breaking down three of my top player props.

I’ll use help from our friends at Scores And Odds. Their prop tool shows us the best lines from across the online sports betting industry, plus their own player-specific projections. SAO Premium members get to use the tool for every player prop, for every sport.

Suns vs. Clippers Player Props & Picks

Paul George, Over 30.5 Points (-115) at BetMGM

Paul George, or “Playoff P” as opposing fans have been facetiously chanting, fell just shy of his points prop in Game 2. By now, you know probably know why. He was terrible from the three-point line and missed back-to-back free throws in the final seconds of the game. It cost prop bettors cash, and his teammates a victory.

Now the Clippers head back home with their backs against the wall. We’ve seen this story before, haven’t we?

The Clippers were down 0-2 at Dallas, then 0-2 at Utah. Somehow they won both series. But that’s neither here nor there. Remember, we’re worried about prop bets, not necessarily who will win tonight’s game.

Over his last six games, George has scored at least 31 points four times — two of those games were with Kawhi Leonard still on the court.

He recorded only 26 points in Game 2, but that was while shooting a dismal 1-for-8 from the arc and 5-for-10 from the free-throw line. I would be shocked if he shoots that poorly from either spot again.

Moreover, SAO’s basketball projections have Paul scoring 31.67 points tonight, more than a full point above his current prop line at sportsbooks.

Devin Booker, Under 29.5 Point (-125) at BetMGM

Hawks vs. Bucks Bucks -7.5
Time, TV 8:39 p.m. ET, ESPN
Best Book BetMGM

Taking the under on player props is often scary, but not enough bettors do it and there are usually some +EV opportunities as a result. Booker’s points prop tonight is one of those instances.

Chris Paul makes his return and he’s projected to score 17.5 points at most shops, according to the prop line set by oddsmakers. Meanwhile, Booker’s line sits at 29.5 points at BetMGM Sportsbook. SAO’s projections? 28.16.

Booker dropped 40 in Game 1, but scored only 20 points in Game 2. During the Nuggets series, Booker score more than 28 points only once. Booker is great, don’t get me wrong, but people are getting ahead of themselves by anointing him as the “next Kobe Bryant.”

I expect Paul to be ready to go, otherwise he wouldn’t be suiting up. Remember, he didn’t sit out because of his shoulder but it was due to COVID protocols.
