This weekend, the NFL season will come to a close with an exciting Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs punched their ticket to the big game despite being counted out by nearly every major media pundit entering the playoffs. In stark contrast, the 49ers are exactly where they are expected to be after being the odds-on favorite to win the championship for most of the year.
Ahead of kickoff in this Super Bowl matchup, the 49ers are favored by 2.5 points on the spread. The over/under is set at 47.5 points.

Super Bowl Props: Best George Kittle Prop Bets
- George Kittle UNDER 51.5 Receiving Yards
- George Kittle UNDER 3.5 Receptions
- George Kittle OVER 20.5 Player Longest Reception
George Kittle UNDER 51.5 Receiving Yards (-110), Bet365
George Kittle is widely regarded as one of the better tight ends in the NFL, but his value comes from more than just his contributions as a pass catcher for the 49ers. Though Kittle is capable of 100-yard performances, which we saw him do 3 times during the regular season, there will also be games in which he is used more as a blocker, and other games in which he is simply an afterthought in a San Francisco offense that features no shortage of talented weapons. Kansas City has been strong at defending opposing tight ends of late, holding Tanner Hudson, Gerald Everett, Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, and Mark Andrews each to 45 receiving yards or fewer. Kittle could be in store for an underwhelming Super Bowl from a statistical perspective.
George Kittle UNDER 3.5 Receptions (+128), FanDuel
During the regular season, Kansas City was one of the better defenses in the NFL against tight ends, finishing 10th in DVOA against the position. Unsurprisingly, they did a fairly good job limiting receptions to opposing tight ends for the majority of the year as well. Since the beginning of the new calendar year, Kansas City has held Gerald Everett to 1 reception, Dawson Knox to 1 reception, and Mark Andrews to 2 receptions. The only recent tight end to find success against the Chiefs defense was Dalton Kincaid, who had become one of the top targets for Josh Allen in Buffalo with Stefon Diggs struggling mightily down the stretch. If bettors prefer the plus money on the receptions to the -110 price on receiving yards for a Kittle under, this is also a potentially worthwhile way to fade him in the Super Bowl.
George Kittle OVER 20.5 Player Longest Reception (-122), FanDuel
Even if George Kittle does not have a high volume of targets on Sunday, he could still make a splashy play for the 49ers passing attack, similar to the NFC Championship Game. Facing the Lions, Kittle had only 2 receptions on 3 targets, but one of those catches went for 28 yards. It was the 10th time in his last 12 games that Kittle has hauled in a reception of at least 24 yards. This is my favorite way to play an over on Kittle against the Chiefs because, as we have seen many times this year, Kittle is capable of an explosive play even on low-volume days.
