The RSM Classic Weather Report and Forecast

PGA golfer Matt Kuchar

We’re headed to coastal Georgia for The RSM Classic, and the weather could not be any more different from the gale-force winds we had to contend with in Bermuda.

As usual in my PGA weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts.

With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another.

You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on the best DFS sites.

The RSM Classic Weather Forecast

Thursday, November 20th

Perfection out the gate. Winds will be essentially calm in the morning (5mph or less), ticking up a hair but still only a bit over 5mph in the afternoon.

Friday, November 21st

Running it back with another similarly great day. Winds are lightest in the morning, likely under 5mph, and will increase to a very manageable peak winds a bit over 5mph in the afternoon.

Saturday, November 22nd

Similar pattern with a touch more wind, but still excellent. Morning winds around 5mph. Afternoon winds likely coming in just a bit under 10mph.

Sunday, November 23rd

We continue the trend of lighter morning winds followed by manageable afternoon winds, I think peak winds here will be similar to Saturday, likely holding under 10mph.

The RSM Classic Weather Thoughts

Near perfection every day. While morning winds will generally be a bit calmer than afternoon winds, even the peak winds of this tournament are barely worth noting, so at no point do I really see weather being a problem. I also don’t have a preference for any one wave over another.
