Top 10 Rankings Movement and Special Grinders Shoutout
At last we had a week to take a deep breath and relax for a minute. In the past month we’ve had NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAAF, and PGA as playable fantasy games and there has been a plethora of winning and losing for Grinder Nation. Finally, with the all-star break keeping players and gamblers away from the ice and the NFL fantasy season being completely over, there was a week of peace with only NBA and a little PGA play available. What does this mean for our Grinder Leaderboard? It means that the movement you see this week is almost directly related to basketball knowledge. The guys making moves up the board this week took advantage of their NBA skills and pushed past their competition and into the money. And despite the declined action, this week saw a player join the top three, another guy join the top 10, two upward jumps of over ten places, and somehow no truly new players in the top 100.
Let me begin by explaining how there were truly no “new” players in the top 100. Ursoskinny moved into 98th place this week after spending a few weeks outside the top 100. But if you remember, Ursoskinny was mentioned as a newcomer in early January. So after a few weeks of fighting to get back into the top 100, he has at last returned and stands as the only player on the leader board this week who was not there at the end of January.
Now let’s get to the headline stories of the week and again it comes from the top 10. Following a week where we saw #1 taken down and Rudzia55 claim the top spot, one of the hottest members of Grinder Nation joined the top three. Maxdalury has been absolutely on fire and is showing that he’s not a one trick pony. He jumped to third this week after using an incredible NFL season to move up the leader board over the past couple months. But clearly he can win in any sport, as the NFL season ended he was still able to push forward with some NBA winnings. The second headline of the week comes from HeadChopper who moved from 13th place to 10th. HeadChopper has stood in 13th place for a number of weeks, maintaining a consistent winning effort. But this week HeadChopper hit it big and used his big winnings to move into the top 10. A final top 10 shout out to Whits23 who moved from 10th to 9th place, and all three of these guys are on fire and doing a great job representing Grinder Nation.

Now this week I want to do something a little different. I’ll first toss a shout out to the two guys who made moves up the board by more than ten places, but then I want to spread a little bit of spirit across Grinder Nation. I’ll list every player who moved up the leader board this week, no matter how small it was. A lot of guys have seen repeat shout outs on these rankings because they are making the biggest moves, but anyone who is able to move up the leader board in a given week is truly a great player and today they get their dues. But first, props go to Jayhawkz274 who jumped 16 spots from #91 to 75th this week. And to the second biggest jump of the week who used a 13 place jump to find himself at #76 in the GLB standings.
