Kiwoom Heroes vs Chan Gyu Lim

I have seen a couple of names thrown around for LG’s starting pitcher on Friday but it appears that the right-handed Chan Gyu Lim will get the starting nod. Lim is one of the better strikeout pitchers in the KBO yet has still struggled in terms of run prevention throughout his career.

The Heroes had a slow start to the season but have rebounded nicely and are unsurprisingly one of the better offensive teams in the league, averaging over 6 runs per game. Kiwoom has a well-rounded lineup without a ton of easy outs which allows them to turn their lineup over frequently.

In terms of “core” players to target in Kiwoom stacks, Ha Seong Kim, Jung Hoo Lee, and Byung Ho Park lead the way. All three players have excellent on-base percentages since the start of last season – Lee (.392), Park (.392), Kim (.390) – and Park adds a ton of power (.267 ISO) as well. Kim (.185 ISO) is next in line in terms of power and has hit 4 HRs so far this season. It’s worth noting that while Lee hasn’t hit for power throughout his career, he does already have 4 HRs this year, almost matching his previous career-high (6).
