Top KBO DFS Stacks: Friday, May 29th

Happy Thursday (Friday?)!

Let’s start off with a little fireside chat about recency bias. When other people overreact to small sample size events in baseball, it can be a huge edge in DFS. This is true in every sport, but so much more so in baseball than anything else. It is a little trickier in KBO, because we don’t have as much data as we’re used to, but long term numbers are always going to be more trustable than a few days and a few at bats. I’m mostly talking about the Doosan Bears here, as we’re already starting to hear some rumbling and complaining after four days of subpar performance from Doosan. Four Days. I get it, it’s frustrating when a team that’s supposed to be good isn’t good. I would just tell you to try and take a few deep breaths and remember that four days in the scheme of a baseball season is nothing. This is especially true in a BABIP driven league like the KBO. You are under no obligation to play a team that has ‘done you dirty’ the past few nights, but I would beg of you not to turn that into thinking a team or a player is overrated after four days. If you just feel better about not stacking a team like Doosan after four slow games, that is fine. There are plenty of other ways to go, but don’t try to outsmart or overthink the numbers. Numbers aren’t subject to the same bias as we are.
