Top KBO DFS Stacks: Sunday, June 14th
Kiwoom Heroes vs Jin Ho Kim
Sunday’s top owned stack is likely to be a battle between the Kiwoom Heroes and NC Dinos as they square off at Changwon NC Park in Changwon. Betting markets have this game currently listed as the highest total game of the night at 12 runs with the Dinos as small favorites. Both teams are strong stack candidates but since I talked about the Dinos yesterday let’s take a closer look at the Heroes.
Kiwoom’s offense exploded on Saturday as they scored 18 runs on 17 total hits, including four HRs. Sunday’s matchup against Jin Ho Kim shapes up as a favorable one but does carry a bit of uncertainty as it’s Kim’s KBO debut.
Kiwoom has one of the deepest lineups in the league with seven players owning a wRC+ of 100 or higher this season. Not in that top seven is Byung Ho Park (95) but is still someone I consider to be a core piece of Kiwoom stacks. Despite his struggle to rack up hits, Park has seen a significant increase in his walk rate (18%) this season and has still flashed plenty of power with seven HRs. In fact, a .254 BABIP is a good indication that there’s nothing to worry about with Park and that he has just been a bit unlucky to start the season. It’s worth noting Park walked twice and went deep once in Saturday’s game, a good sign he is seeing the ball well.
