Tuesday NBA Lineup
Tuesday NBA Lineups
Fantasy Sports Live – Ten Player – 275 Point Cap

Monday was a brutal night. I wound up taking Darko over Bogut in my leagues, which started off looking like a genius play; Darko racked-up 12 points in just 8 minutes, but then went down for the rest of the game with a quad-contusion. I made this selection because: A) Bogut has been so banged up lately, and even when healthy he wouldn’t put up huge games back-to-back very often and B) Darko was playing the Knicks and gave me the cap space to upgrade from Boozer to Beasley vs. the Knicks. Therein lies problem number 2. While Boozer seemed like an obvious play for his price, the Bulls have so many weapons now, and I thought he still might be struggling to find his role between Noah, Deng and Rose. Well, I don’t know if I think that anymore. Boozer looked impressive yet again. Bass looked like a great play, as he started off strong in the first half with Ryan Anderson still out, but he fizzled off for an anti-climatic finish. All-in-all, my lineups yesterday looked great for the first hour or so, then took a quick turn for the losers bracket. Lesson learned on Boozer. Get him while he’s still cheap.
Tuesday gives us another seven game night to start the week off, and with Phoenix and Golden State on the schedule, there is the potential for some high scoring games. As Tippy mentioned, the ten-mans require a little bit of gamble. I like to target 1 or 2 high-risk, high-reward players depending on what the player field is looking like. Here is the lineup with notes that I am using in one of the contests tonight.
| Position | Player | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| PG | Kyle Lowry | 20 Pts | He’s been averaging over 27 ppg over the last 15 and is still just 20 pts on FSL. He’s a Top 5 PG over the last 15 and the 3rd best PG available tonight in the Last 7…for only 20 points |
| PG | Steve Nash | 31 Pts | With Andre Miller suspended Nash should be able to run the point more effectively than usual tonight. |
| SG | Monta Ellis | 36 Pts | Montas is back to his good ole’ 48 minute per game self, and his stat-lines are showing it. Dallas’ one weak spot is SG, and Monta should be able to exploit it. |
| SG | Brandon Roy | 27 Pts | Surprising, Shooting Guard had the toughest decisions to make today. I couldn’t pass up Roy…vs. Phoenix…with Andre Miller out though. |
| PF | Dirk Nowitzki | 37 Pts | I’m staying away from Pao (and the Lakers) as they will likely be watching the 4th quarter from the pine. I like Dirk here b/c the former MVP does not have bad fantasy games in this scoring format, or ever. |
| PF | Luis Scola | 35 Pts | With Yao still out, and Detroit starting Prince at PF tonight, Scola is in store for a lot of opportunities. |
| SF | Carmelo Anthony | 39 Pts | He’s a scoring machine, and there are some injuries in Denver. After how well the Knicks have been doing lately, Carmelo might want to put up some big lines to improve his trade value. |
| SF | Gerald Wallace | 30 Pts | He’s not having a massive season, and I like S-Jax better for the price, but Gerald Wallace and S-Jax are the Bobcats guys, and G-Wallace has a slightly higher ceiling. |
| C | Channing Frye | 19 Pts | My gamble pick. His ceiling is high, but he’s inconsistent. I just don’t think 38 year old Marcus Camby is going to be able to defend Frye on the perimeter. |
| Total Paid | 274 Pts | of 275 |
