If you’re looking to bet on Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals or any other sporting event Saturday, click here to sign up for the Fanatics Sportsbook promo beforehand. You’ll want to do that because the amount of your first bet up to $100 will be matched as a bonus bet issued to your account by Fanatics Sportsbook.
You can also click the offer module below to sign up in AZ, CO, CT, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, VA, VT, WV, and WY.
But not only is your first bet Saturday going to be matched, the first bet you place each of the next nine days will be matched as well. Since this promo spans ten days in total, this allows you to earn a maximum of $1,000 in bonus bets depending on how much you wager during that time frame.
Things to keep in mind when using your Fanatics Sportsbook promo
Fanatics’ minimum odds requirement
Above all else, knowing that Fanatics Sportsbook contains a -200 or longer minimum odds requirement is important. This requirement constrains what your first bet can be on slightly, as odds like -220 and -300 aren’t eligible under this criteria. You’ll have to search for odds like -120 or any + market.
One way to make sure your odds qualify is by making a parlay. The more legs you add, the longer your odds are and the more you can potentially win. If you have a couple of legs with odds that just miss the -200 or longer requirement, combine them into a parlay and see if your odds now work.
Opt in each day before placing your first bet
The second most important thing you’ll want to know is that you’ll need to opt in each day to this promo before placing your first bet. If you forget to opt in for a day, your first bet of the day doesn’t get matched as a bonus bet from Fanatics Sportsbook.
Previewing Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals for you to bet on
Entering Game 1, the Florida Panthers are priced at -140 to defend home ice against the +120 priced Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers’ puck line of +1.5 has -225 odds, which doesn’t meet Fanatics’ criteria. However, the Panthers’ -1.5 puck line has +165 odds. Additionally, 5.5 is the total market for this game.
I’m not a fan of the Panthers’ puck line in this game. The Oilers offense ranked fourth in goals per game this season and are second in the postseason. Granted, the Panthers are the perfect contrast to the Oilers’ strength, as Florida gave up the fewest goals per game in the regular season.
The bets I like most for Game 1 are the Oilers moneyline and under 5.5 goals being scored. I can see this game finishing 3-2, but I traditionally trust the under on total markets in the first game of a championship series.
Game 1 is a toss up in terms of the winner for me until I see how these teams square up, so I’ll take the better potential payout by picking the Oilers moneyline.
