Vanek's Views: DraftKings NFL DFS Picks for Week 10

Lions quarterback Goff

Using his experience as a former scout and staff member at Central Florida under Josh Heupel, Jordan Vanek takes an in-depth look at the upcoming NFL DFS main slate on DraftKings for Week 10. Formerly of The 33rd Team and 4for4 Fantasy Football, Jordan’s deep dive into the best stacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends is a must-read before you start building your lineups.

Pricing has tightened up a lot this weekend, making it tough to fit in the top projected plays like Christian McCaffrey, Puka Nacua, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Because of that, I expect we’ll see more balanced builds across the board. The running back position doesn’t feature the obvious smash plays we’ve had in recent weeks, partly because the Bengals and Cowboys aren’t on the slate, and the Browns draw the Jets’ defense. All of that sets up for a fun week where game stacking and correlation could be the key paths to posting a high score.

As always, our NFL DFS projections will be crucial on Sunday, especially with how difficult it is to jam in the top plays on the slate. I personally want to be more balanced in my approach and not get too many cheap plays. There is one $3,000 WR that has my eye, and I believe he is in for a breakout performance.

NFL DFS DraftKings Picks: Top Stacks, RBs, WRs, & TEs for Week 10

Game Stacks

Jaxson Dart ($5,700, QB, New York Giants)

Wan’Dale Robinson ($5,300, WR, New York Giants)

Darius Slayton ($4,300, WR, New York Giants)

Rome Odunze ($6,000, WR, Chicago Bears)

Giants QB Dart

This game is stackable from either quarterback, but I prefer the Dart side because I expect his team to be playing from behind. The Bears should find more success leaning on their split backfield of Kyle Monangai and D’Andre Swift, while Dart’s rushing and deep-passing upside make him the more appealing DFS option. He’s scored a rushing touchdown in 5 of his 6 starts and has topped 50 rushing yards in 4 of them. Despite missing a few big-play opportunities, his deep throw rate sits at 13.1%, 3rd among all quarterbacks with at least 150 attempts (per Fantasy Points).

The Bears’ defense plays a lot of man coverage and has allowed a 64.2% completion rate on throws 10+ yards downfield — the worst mark in the NFL. Against man looks, two receivers clearly stand out: Wan’Dale Robinson, who leads the team in target share, and Darius Slayton, who’s been targeted on 32% of his routes. They are the keys to unlocking Dart’s ceiling, and Slayton in particular has the downfield role to hit for a big play.

Odunze is the clear alpha in this offense against man coverage, and the Giants run man at one of the highest rates in the NFL. He’s the obvious stacking partner in Caleb Williams builds and my preferred run-back in this game. Odunze owns over a 30% target share versus man coverage and is averaging 3.4 yards per route run. This sets up as a perfect bounce-back spot for him.
