Packers vs. Bears Weather Report & Forecast
The big story here is the wind, and I don’t think it will stay steady throughout the game. Instead, I expect a gradual increase in wind gusts as the game goes on. Kickoff winds should be around or under 15mph sustained with gusts around 20-25mph, but by the 2nd half of the game, I expect those sustained winds closer to 20mph with gusts pushing 35-40mph. It’s also quite cold, with temps around freezing. The offenses will likely still be fine, but it’s a bump down to kickers, especially late. I’ll keep the forecast updated here, on my NFL weather page, and on Twitter/X, @KevinRothWx.
How Will the Packers vs. Bears Weather Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
A tale of two halves, the weather in the 2nd half could bring more impactful winds. I would only consider fading kickers here; I would not fade quarterbacks or receivers.
- Late-game wind gusts pushing 35-40 mph
- Temperature around freezing
- Downgrade to kicking; a few longer throws could also be impacted
