Guards

Ty Lawson – I don’t think anyone would have guessed he’d be playing this well with Felton in town. It’s more impressive that both of them are doing well as of late (even though Afflalo is out). Lawson is averaging 36 FPPG over the last 7 days and has had at least 10 assists in his last 3. Play him cheaply with confidence.

CJ Miles – He’s been a viable fill-in as of late, and now the teammate he was starting over, Raja Bell, is saying that he should keep the starting job. He’s still got a discounted rate and is a solid spot to save some cash.

Marcus Thornton – Marco Belli-who?! New Orleans looks dumb for benching Thornton and letting him get away. Their impatience is paying off as in the form of a viable Tyreke Evans fill-in, and New Orleans not playing him has led to essentially a must-start play based on price (at least until Tyreke returns).

James Harden – Harden has been playing at his price or much better since the Jeff Green trade. His range is about 17-40 FPPG with around a 25 average. He’s still noticeably cheaper than that on most sites and is a solid play.

Jodie Meeks – He’s consistently averaging around 22 FPPG. Meeks isn’t an amazing play, but he is consistent. Try using him to get two upgrades or one big upgrade. Otherwise, he’s not overly enticing, though he does make a serviceable value play.

Forwards

Tyler Hansbrough – Psycho T baby! A career high 29 points followed up with a career high 30 points. That means that he will have 31 points tonight if the trend continues. He’ll be on a lot of lineups tonight though, so he might not be as valuable in a large-field contest, but roll him out there in all of your heads up contests and just hope your opponent makes a mistake.

Serge Ibaka – His last three games he’s put up 30, 39 and 32 FPPG. It’s nice to see that Perkins arrival didn’t effect his production much. Continue to roll Ibaka out there as your value PF, if it works with your salary cap and picks.

Reggie Evans – For only $3,500, Reggie Evans is worth a serious look on FanDuel, despite taking up one of your PF spots if you take him. He’ll be playing more with Amir Johnson out tonight and he’s averaging 19.3 over his last 7 – which is closer to a $6,000 FD price-tag.

Chase Budinger – He’s a solid SF value option as long as he’s starting with the Rockets. He’ll never be your SF1, as he won’t explode, but he does consistently produce.

Centers

Chuck Hayes – Scola is still out of action, so Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson and Jordan Hill will fill in the void. Chuck Hayes is by far the most consistent of the three, and also the largest to see an uptick in value.

Marcin Gortat – His pricing is catching up to his value on some sites, but he’s been remarkably consistent off the bench. As long as Frye is out, he continues to be a strong-to-high-end value play depending on the price.

Greg Monroe – Not much to say for Monroe. He’s been pretty consistent and is averaging 27.8 FPPG over the last 15 days. His price is starting to catch up, but if you’re not going Dwight or Jefferson tonight, then Monroe is a good, cheaper look at Center.

Chris Kaman – The likely reason for Blake Griffin’s slump, is Christopher Kaman. He’s been eating into Blakes production in his limited minutes, which makes him a good value play at the moment.

Game-Time Decision Watch

These are the players whose statuses you should be monitoring as we approach tip-off. Listed in bold is the player who is a GTD, and listed second is the fill-in value play you can plug-in if they’re a no-go.

Aaron Afflalo – J.R. Smith

Devin Harris – Earl Watson

Paul Millsap – Derrick Favors

Andre Iguodala – Lou Williams, Jodie Meeks

Darko Milicic – Anthony Randolph (risky play)
