Wednesday Tipp-Off: Fanduel Slam Sleeper List

ft_nba_slam

It’s Wednesday Slam time on Fanduel and I’ve scoured the 11 game NBA schedule for some low-priced, high-upside value picks to plug into your rosters that will leave you with some extra salary to draft those elite studs! Fanduel has done a great job of adjusting their pricing system to correct some flaws, so finding those low salary sleepers is more important that ever now. I’ve grouped player picks by position this week to make the list a little more organized and easier to use. I have also tried to find a couple of players from each position that cover the entire sleeper spectrum, from ultra-cheap minimum salary up to the $7000 upper boundary of what I consider a sleeper pick. First prize is $1,000 this week, so if you’re not on FanDuel yet, make sure to check out our exclusive FanDuel Promocode and Sign-Up Bonus !

Point Guard

Jonny Flynn (PG, MIN, $4200) – Flynn is close to taking over the starting PG spot for the Timberwolves. He played 25 minutes on Sunday and put up 22 Fanduel points. He could get you similar production tonight.

Earl Watson (PG, UTA, $4600) – Deron Williams has already missed a couple of games with a wrist injury and could be out tonight as well. If he can’t go, Watson will get the start and should get you around 20 Fanduel fantasy points.

Ramon Sessions (PG, CLE, $6200) – Sessions continues to start and play well. He’s averaged 21.4 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games while starting for Mo Williams.

Jose Calderon (PG, TOR, $6300) – Calderon is a risky play, but he’s got a great matchup against Mike Bibby and the Hawks. Calderon is an all or nothing type player, but lately he’s been putting up some nice lines and averaging 25.6 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 4 games.

Shooting Guard

Sonny Weems (S.G., TOR, $4100) – Weems missed 18 games with a back injury, but he’s returned to the starting lineup now and getting 30+ minutes a night.

Manny Harris (S.G., CLE, $4600) – Daniel Gibson could miss tonight’s game and Harris has been getting the starts while Gibson has been out. Harris put up 26 and 27 Fanduel fantasy points in his last two games starting for Gibson.

Anthony Morrow (S.G., NJN, $5500) – Morrow has been a little inconsistent lately, but he always has the potential for a huge game. He’s averaged 20.4 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games.

Ben Gordon (S.G., DET, $5800) – Rodney Stuckey has a shoulder injury and Rip Hamilton is riding the bench, so Gordon should get the minutes at SG for the Pistons. He exploded for 35 points on 12 of 21 shooting in his last game and could have another good one against the Bobcats.

Jason Terry (S.G., DAL, $6700) – Terry doesn’t get much fantasy love, but he’s been hot lately and the Mavs have a great matchup against the fast paced Knicks. Terry has averaged 24.6 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games.

Small Forward

Corey Maggette (SF, MIL, $5900) – Maggette has moved into the starting lineup and has the ability to light up the scoreboard on any night. He had a 40 Fanduel fantasy point game last Friday, so the potential is there for a big line at a great price.
Danilo Gallinari (SF, NYK, $6100) – Gallinari has been heating up lately and had a nice 35 Fanduel fantasy point game on Sunday. He’s averaged 26.4 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games.

Tracy McGrady (SF, DET, $6100) – The Pistons are having some injury problems and McGrady has been getting all the minutes he can handle at the guard spot. He’s averaged 26.2 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games. He’s always an injury risk, but he also has huge upside on the nights when he’s in the zone.

DeMar DeRozan (SF, TOR, $6800) – DeRozan has cooled a little over the last couple of games and his price has risen to an expensive level, but he’s a guy who can put up a big line on a good night. He’s had 41 and 35 Fanduel fantasy point performances in the last two weeks.

Power Forward

Greg Monroe (PF, DET, $6000) – Monroe has been doing a great job filling in for Ben Wallace and he could get another start tonight. He had a 15 point, 17 rebound game on Sunday.

J.J. Hickson (PF, CLE, $6600) – He’s wildly inconsistent, but has the potential for a huge line against the Pacers. He had a 41 Fanduel fantasy point performance Friday and has averaged 30.6 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games.

Andrei Kirilenko (PF, UTA, $6800) – Kirilenko is on a roll with a 50 Fanduel fantasy point game last Friday, a 28 pointer on Sunday and 30 Fanduel fantasy point game on Monday. Check his game time status tonight before starting him, but if he goes, feel free to ride the hot streak.

Josh McRoberts (PF, IND, $4600) – McRoberts is back in as the starting PF for the Pacers and had a nice 20 point/8rebound/2steal/1block game on Saturday. He’s got some upside at a cheap price.

Jason Smith (PF, NOR, $4300) – Emeka Okafor is out for a couple of weeks and Smith should get the start while he’s out. This is a very risky pick, but could have some upside at a very cheap price.

Center

Kurt Thomas (C, CHI, $5300) – Thomas has averaged 22.6 Fanduel fantasy points over his last 5 games and he should be able to get that tonight against the Clippers. Taj Gibson may also be limited in this one with an ankle problem, so Thomas might have to go a few extra minutes.

Tyson Chandler (C, DAL, $6300) – He’s an absolute steal today at $6300 after his 18 point, 18 rebound performance last time out. He’s also got a great matchup against a New York team who pretty much plays without a center on most nights. Chandler has the potential for a huge line.

Roy Hibbert (C, IND, $6400) – Hibbert has been absolutely horrible the last six weeks, but he had a huge line of 24pts/11reb/2stl/2blk in is first game since the Jim O’Brien firing. He could be ready to bounce back in a big way under a new head coach.

DeAndre Jordan (C, LAC, $6200) – Jordan is a shot blocking machine, averaging nearly 3 a game over his last 5 games. He has the ability to put up a 30 Fanduel fantasy point line against the 38 year old Kurt Thomas and Omer Asik.

Good luck tonight and keep an eye on the injury and weather news today. There could be some cancellations due to snow.
