Week 13 Kings: QBs & RBs

Quarterback

Tom Brady ($8,400) – With a very high over/under of 59, you will want some exposure to the GB/NE Sunday game. For a complete listing of projected team totals, check out the RotoGrinders’ Vegas Odds Page. Aaron Rodgers obviously make for a great play as well, however for a full $1,000 less you can take Tom Brady. The ceiling on Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers is very similar. Tom Brady provides you with a very high floor due to his volume of pass attempts (53 last week).

Ben Roethlisberger ($7,600) – The New Orleans defense has looked pretty terrible all season long and they are substantially worse on the road. The game features a very high over/under of 53. Big Ben has cooled off since his two game burst of 12 touchdowns. Roethlisberger will have no problem bouncing back with a great performance against the Saints and their bottom ten ranked pass defense.

Aaron Rodgers ($9,400) – As I previously mentioned, the GB/NE has a very high over/under of 59, which will end up being the highest of the season. Rodgers has always produced bigger statistical games at home. Additionally, New England’s runs defense has been relatively impressive so far this season, which may lead to a pass heavy attack for the Packers.

Ryan Tannehill ($6,900) – If you are looking to pick on the Jets, your game plan should be very simple…. PASS!! The Jets have a very impressive run defense; however they cannot stop opposing teams through the air. The Jets rank as the worst defense in the NFL at stopping the opposing teams pass attack. Tannehill has averaged 19 fantasy points on the season and it is safe to expect this as his floor on Monday night against the Jets.

GPP

Eli Manning ($7,000) – I was high on Eli last week and he did not disappoint. Eli has a great core of weapons, led by the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr. Eli has been known to disappoint in relatively easy match-ups, which is exactly what he will be faced with on Sunday when the Giants travel to Jacksonville. The reason I list Eli as a GPP play is simply due to his ability to fall on his face.

Running Back

Le’Veon Bell ($8,700) – Much like Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell lands great home, match-up with the putrid run defense of the New Orleans Saints. Bell is easily a top three running back this week with the potential to be to top over all fantasy producer. The Saints just allowed Justin Forsett to run for 182 yards and two TDs. The Saints have the eighth worst run defense in the NFL and you can count on Bell to take advantage of this easy match-up

C.J. Anderson ($6,900) – With all the injuries to the Broncos backfield, Anderson is in line to receive a very heavy workload again this week. Anderson totaled 31 touches last week, which included four receptions. This is a great opportunity for Anderson as Denver has one of the top offenses in the NFL and frequently lands red zone opportunities. The match-up with Kansas City is not ideal, however the volume Anderson will receive mitigates the risk.

Rashad Jennings ($6,700) – Jennings is back to full health and has resumed his high volume role in the Giants’ offense. Last week, Jennings totaled 27 touches, which included eight receptions. His activity in the passing game is so valuable on full PPR sites such as DK. His pass catching ability creates a very high floor. Jennings is a great mid-tier RB play against a bad Jacksonville defense.

Tre Mason ($4,600) – Mason has taken over as the primary running back for the St. Louis Rams. Most weeks you can look right past Mason and the Rams running game due to how bad their team is. However, this week the Rams are actually seven point favorites at home against the Raiders. This Vegas line indicates that Mason should receive a steady workload based on the game script. The Raiders possess the league’s sixth worst run defense, which provides a great opportunity for Mason.

GPP

Arian Foster ($8,800) – Judging solely on the eye test, Tennessee has one of the league’s worst run defenses. Tennessee allowed a struggling LeSean McCoy to rack up 100 yards and a TD in the first half. It sounds as though Arian Foster will play this week; the key here is to determine if he has any restrictions. Regardless, Foster will be very under owned this week due to the injury, which makes him a great GPP play.
