Week 9 Kings: WRs & TEs

Wide Receiver

T.Y Hilton ($8100) – Hilton is somewhat flying under the radar this season, but he has actually been one of the best WRs in all of football. The numbers do not lie; Hilton has seen the fourth most targets in the entire NFL at 78, he has turned those targets into the most receiving yards in the league (866). T.Y. has been on fire as of late, in his last six games Hilton has not produced less than five receptions for 80 yards. With Reggie Wayne hobbled, Hilton will be the primary focus of the passing game yet again this week against a weak Giants secondary.

Dez Bryant ($8200) – Number one wide receivers have been killing the Arizona secondary. Much of this has to do with the extreme regression of Patrick Peterson, who once was thought of as one of the better CBs in the game. Arizona has given up the most fantasy points to opposing WRs. With Arizona possessing a solid run defense (possibly a bit overrated, but still good) Dallas could be looking to pass a little more often. Bryant is priced around $1000 less than Demaryius Thomas and Antonio Bryant, I will gladly take this discount as he has a much better match-up.

Mohamed Sanu ($6400) – Assuming A.J Green is out again this week, Sanu makes for a great play against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sanu has been a solid WR1 while Green has been sidelined with an injury. As previously noted, Jacksonville is much worse defensively than their rankings indicate, Sanu is a very safe bet for production in this week nine match-up. Update: A.J. Green has been able to put in some limited practicing so there is a chance he suit up, but I have a feeling he will sit out this week.

Julian Edelman ($4100) – Since the emergence of Brandon Lafell, Edelman has basically disappeared in the offense. His price has now dropped all the way down to $4100; I would be very surprised if Tom Brady did not make an effort to get him going this week in the projected shootout with Denver. Just two short weeks ago, Edelman hauled in nine balls for 90 yards; I like his chances for a bounce back in this match-up.

GPP

Antonio Brown ($9100) – I had Antonio Brown listed in this spot last week, and if you took my advice, you probably did alright in tournaments. This guy just continues to put up solid games every week, regardless of the match-up. The match-up this week is a tough one against the Ravens who have surrendered the third fewest FPs to the WR position.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski ($7600) – The Patriots offense is rolling and much of the recent success has to do with the full return of Rob Gronkowski. Gronk looked beyond dominant last week against the Bears with a performance of nine receptions, 149 yards and three TDs. With an O/U of 54.5, I don’t see a way that Gronk does not have a heavy presence in the Patriots offense this week.

Julius Thomas ($5600) – Sticking with the same game, on the other side of the football you have Julius Thomas and his nine TD receptions. After two down weeks, Thomas now sits $2000 less than the aforementioned Gronkowski and makes for a great play as well this week. Both Brady and manning love to utilize the tight end position and in a high O/U game you can expect production from both guys.

Jason Witten ($3200) – I really like the strategy of spending up on one of the guys mentioned above, however if you’re looking to save some salary at the position, Witten is a good value. Witten is coming off a very solid Monday night performance where he caught five balls for 70 yards and a TD. The match-up this week is great against the Cardinals defense who continues to struggle defending opposing tight ends.
