Weekly Grinder Rankings Update: 12/23/11
In just the second week since bringing back the weekly Grinder Rankings article we are already seeing some serious movement in the top 100 with a number of guys making huge jumps over the past 7 days. Grinder Nation brought the heat this week again and I really think that there are a number of guys who are close to finally shaking things up at the top. Thanks to all the Grinders out there who work hard day-to-day to win their fantasy leagues and congratulations to anyone on this list, as I’m sure you’re making some money along the way!
Before I throw some special recognition out there to a few guys in particular, I want to remind the Grinders that this week marks the start of the NBA as well as the brief return of NCAA football for bowl week. This opens the door for guys just outside the top 100 to make their move to the top as well as guys striving to make a jump, because our Grinder Ranks are based on success across multiple sports as well! So get out there and win some NBA money on Christmas, have some success on Bowl Week, and maybe I can be giving you a shout out to round out the month of December! Good luck and keep Grinder Nation proud!
The first shout outs this week go to some guys who made mammoth jumps in the rankings. While usually I would try and keep this to one or two guys, there were too many players climbing the rankings in the last seven days to go unnoticed. With that said, Dp47 exceeded all expectations and skyrocketed 30 spots this week from 91st to 61st! That’s the kind of jump Grinders across the nation should be striving to make so thank you Dp47 for setting the bar high. BallBusters leaped 18 spots to 58th place overall and two players, Jmp5029 and Mbomb44 moved twelve places up in the top 100 to 66th and 80th respectively. Mbomb44 and TheJay1979, who jumped 7 spots to 92nd this week, were both new to the top 100 last week and are already on the move up so look out for those guys as they are on a hot streak!
Another guy to look out for in the vast world of daily fantasy sports is Westy who has climbed one spot in the top ten each of the past two weeks and is now sitting in 8th. He’s the top contender right now to shuffle up the top 5 so, unless you’re playing against him, let’s get Grinder Nation on his back and see if he can keep his winning streak alive and crack the top 5 power players. Great job Westy! The last shout out is for the only new addition to the top 100 this week and that is J21willy. Congratulations on making the top 100 and good luck climbing the ranks moving forward. Let’s see if he can make the same jump that Mbomb44 and TheJay1979 made this week as newcomers! Congratulations to all the Grinders in the top 100 and it goes without saying that Condia and the rest of the top 5 are just rolling their competition, but any competitor knows that to be the best you have to beat the best so bring it this week and try to take down the top!
