Weekly Grinder Rankings Update: Jan 21, 2012

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times; each week various members of Grinder Nation shock the leader boards. This week that member of Grinder Nation was Blitzburgh who threw himself a [re-]welcoming party to the top 100 by jumping all the way to #24 with some newly-found FanDuel results to go with his impressive work on DraftZone. Previous weeks had seen players move into the #50-#60 range when entering the Top 100, but Blitzburgh, a previous Top 10-er from about a year ago, jumped all the way to 24th.

Checking in on the other Grinders who had impressive weeks on the circuit. Ajby26 finds himself in 97th place and, with some upcoming success, can fortify a spot in the top 100 week-to-week. Similarly doppelsykes is a new top 100 player and stands in 94th place in GLB Overall Points. The final new entry would have been the top story almost any other week, as Bastage was able to join the board at #71 overall. Typically a new player moving that high up would be marquee highlight. so great work to Bastage and keep on grinding up the ranks!

There were three grinders who made significant jumps within the leader board this week, but as would be expected as the sports world slows down a bit, the high number of players moving up and down declined greatly. The first piece of recognition goes to a guy who has received a shout out in three consecutive weeks and is certainly one of the hottest players in the game right now. Luckbox8 again jumped 9 spots(the 3rd largest jump of the week) and stands at #50 overall. The consistent growth of Luckbox8 makes him a scary opponent for players as he clearly has found a working formula for his squads. The biggest jump of the week was a 2-way tie between two players who moved themselves into the #50-#60 range. Dylee86 moved up 18 spots to #59 overall and Chainsaul moved up 18 places to stand at #53. Great work to these guys and look out for them going forward!

As usual, we will wrap up the rankings update with a look at the top 5-10 players in the overall GLB standings and this week we had movement in that top 5! Beermakersfan moved up a spot and stands in 3rd place overall. As Condia and Rudzia55 continue to hold down the top 2 spots, the move up by Beermakersfan could mean that the #1 and #2 slots may see a shake up in the weeks upcoming. So as usual, great job to these top 3 players and everyone in the top 10 who continue to be the best of the best!
