What’s up Grinders? Welcome to the final June edition of the Weekly Rankings Update!

As we come upon the halfway point in the MLB regular season, the championship events for the major sites are right around the corner. And while the race for the TPOY has been a fun one to follow so far, it’s only going to get crazier when the results from these major events kick in. Until then we have to deal with these measly 6 figure GPPs (read: lots of sarcasm) and the swings they cause in the rankings. So without further ado, let’s get to it!

Like I mentioned earlier, there are some huge tournaments right around the bend, but the TPOY leaderboard has a lot of familiar faces on it. Not only that, but most of these guys have already secured seats in at least one of these major events. The GPP Guru McJester already has three seats to the StarStreet PFBC, where he’ll attempt to repeat his ridiculous domianation of the basketball championship earlier this year where he took down first, second, and third.

With June coming to a close on Monday, the writing is on the wall – BirdWings is the June monthly champion. This doesn’t surprise most, as we all know how good BirdWings is at MLB DFS, but the other guy I want to point out is the #8 finisher, lovesbases. This guy flies under the radar a bit, but he is, in my opinion, one of the better multi-entry GPP players in the industry right now. He isn’t quite the celebrity that some of the other members of the leaderboards are, but he is incredibly consistent and always near the top of the leaderboards. If you’re looking to step up your GPP game, I highly recommend checking out his teams as part of your study.
