What’s up Grinders? Can you believe we’re only a week away from the first DFS Baseball Championship?! A week from now someone will be $1,000,000 richer living it up in Las Vegas courtesy of FanDuel. And then it’ll happen again a few weeks later in the Bahamas via DraftKings. Absolutely incredible. Take a look around boys (and gals), becuase this is the golden age of DFS!

Of course what is the point of all of these 7 figure prizes if you don’t have a TPOY title to back it up? That’s right, there is no point. So let’s take a quick look at where we stand going into the coming weeks of GPP madness, shall we?

Notes

A couple things impress me here. First, is our friends metsfan828 and McJester. One works at FanDuel, which I can promise you isn’t exactly easy on your schedule, and the other not only didn’t follow baseball before this year, he still doesn’t watch any games! And yet they’re both sitting comfortably in the Top 25 in the rankings. The rest of us #NotTop25 can only sit back in awe.

The next is the meteoric rise of 00oreo00. A few months ago nobody knew who this guy was, and yet he’s been making leaps up the rankings consistently over the past few weeks/months. He’s clearly a very bright guy, and I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more of him in the near future. I also have a feeling there will be quite a few new rising stars with the huge influx of new players this upcoming NFL season.

And finally, there’s SBK’s marvelous return to the top 100. I already gave him a glowing review the last time he cracked the list, so I’ll spare you all there, but it’s impressive nontheless!

Notes

No surprise to see stlcardinals84 at the top of this list. This guy is a MLB GPP beast, and say what you will about his multi-entries, but it’s hard to deny that he knows how to do it the right way. There is absolutely a skill in playing that many entries without hurting your EV too much, and STL deserves all the respect in the world for what he does day in and day out.

BirdWings is off to his usual running start in the month of August, but csuram88 has started hot and is certainly giving him a run for his money. This guy is one of my favorite players in the entire industry, and is easily one of the best players out there.
