The first weekly RotoGrinders Overall Rankings Update has arrived! Weekly Rankings should be a fun and more accurate ranking method. Moving to a one week format allows us to ensure all the correct data is in place before unveiling the new Rankings each week. In addition, it allows us to prepare to give credit where credit is due to the top Daily Fantasy Grinders on the internet by preparing weekly columns such as this, and it will be a fun event to look forward to. The RotoGrinders team is now looking to get the community involved to help constantly improve our Rankings throughout our ‘Beta’ phase. In the Forums we will be posting a specific aspect of our rankings to discuss amongst our Grinders to see if we can improve the system. More information on this can be found in the forums now, and our Rankings FAQ section has been updated to reflect any changes as well.
Weekly Rankings
The first set of Rankings are out, and not surprisingly our #1 Overall Grinder is PrimeTime420. With over $20,000 (on just two sites) in winnings since our Rankings began tracking results, PrimeTime is in good position to take the #1 position right into NFL season. PrimeTime420 currently holds an over 750 point cushion between himself and the rest of the pack. To put that in perspective, 750 points would be good for 10th place this week. A big congratulations goes out to PrimeTime420 for being the official, first-ever #1 ranked ‘Grinder’! Debuting at #2 is an all-too-familiar name and set-of-eyes-glaring-over-a-black-laptop: Buffalo66. Buffalo66 is a veteran Grinder that has been in the game since the infant days of Daily Fantasy. If our rankings tracked all the way back until 2006, it is safe to say that Buffalo would be number one. Let’s see if his Daily Fantasy Projections can keep him near the top of the pack as a new generation of players enter the industry as the popularity continues to grow for Daily Fantasy Sports. Premiering at the #3 spot we have: Beermakersfan. The impressive part about this, is that currently Beermakersfan only plays at FanDuel, and since our Diversity Restrictor limits only 60% of your scores that count towards the overall rankings to come from one site and/or one sport, if Beermakersman ever expands to other sites his results could get scary-good. Rounding out the first top five ever we have SClements21, who made a push up the rankings with the help of a 21 win day last week, at #4 and the consistent KennyK at #5, who while only on FanDuel as well, puts up very solid and consistent results. At #6 we have headChopper who went on an absolute tear last week, racking in $1,750.50! If he keeps this up, the top five better look out. #7 goes to High Stakes Grinder Zookerman182 whom we have a featured interview with coming later this week, while #8 goes to ChainSaul and MichaelC grabs #9. Rounding out our first ever Top 10 list, we have RotoGrinders’ guest author WaiverWire, who’s weekly piece appears for us every Thursday during MLB season.
