2024 World Wide Technology Championship Forecast and Projections

We’re teeing off for the World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, and much like the locale, the weather is gorgeous.

As usual in my golf weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts. With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another. You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on the best DFS sites.

World Wide Technology Championship Weather Forecast

Thursday, November 7th

Dry. Winds fairly steady around 10 mph all day.

Friday, November 8th

Morning winds might be a hair under 10 mph, with afternoon winds picking up a touch and settling right around 10 mph sustained.

Saturday, November 9th

Same deal. Dry with a manageable coastal breeze.

Sunday, November 10th

Closing it out with another nice day. Winds around 10 mph and no rain.

World Wide Technology Championship Weather Thoughts

I don’t think the weather is a big factor here. Not to say we don’t have any wind—each day will bring 10 mph sustained winds and stronger gusts—but the lack of variability in the weather means I don’t see any advantage to be had.
