World Wide Technology Championship Weather Report and Forecast

PGA golfer Ben Griffin

We’re headed to Cabo for the World Wide Technology Championship, and the weather is every bit as nice as you might assume Cabo weather to be.

As usual in my PGA weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts.

With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact. And the impact can lead to dramatic differences in scoring. My goal is always to try to highlight the time frame with the lightest winds and the time frame with the strongest winds to see if there’s a cumulative advantage for one wave over another.

You can then use this to your advantage when making your picks on the best DFS sites.

World Wide Technology Championship Weather Forecast

Thursday, November 6th

It’s perfect weather right from the jump, near calm winds in the morning around 5 mph, and light 5-10 mph winds in the afternoon. If you like that kind of forecast, you are going to like the next few days too.

Friday, November 7th

There is roughly a 5 mph wind early, with afternoon winds coming in somewhere between 5 and 10 mph.

Saturday, November 8th

It’s dry with light winds, similar to the pattern of Thursday and Friday, where winds might be a hair lighter in the morning than in the afternoon, but both times are great for golfing.

Sunday, November 9th

We’re closing it out with more perfect weather. Winds will stay under 10 mph, and there will be no rain.

World Wide Technology Championship Weather Thoughts

I don’t see anything that separates one day from the next. It’s just 4 straight days of near-perfect weather, so I don’t think weather is going to play much of a role here.
