It feels wrong not listing Kershaw, but with his velocity being down in his first start I am taking a wait and see approach to paying a premium price for him. Verlander should be rock solid against a slumping Baltimore team after allowing a miniscule .233 wOBA in the second half last season and looking dialed in for his first start. The roof will be closed tonight as well in Houston due to a rain threat, which should keep the park very pitcher friendly compared to being open to start the season.
