Yahoo Offers RG-Only Signing Bonus
One of the great developments to come from the DFS boom has been the variety of new sites now making themselves known in the industry.
Yahoo is one of those newer companies to enter the world of daily fantasy, but it hasn’t taken the company long to establish a stable DFS offering across multiple sports, and they have shown a willingness to listen and get feedback in hopes of improving their product too.
Whether you’re a new player or a DFS veteran, a good way to help pad your bankroll is to take advantage of new promotions and deposit bonuses as they become available. And, who knows, you may end up actually liking a new site better than the one(s) you’re currently playing on.
Why play at Yahoo?
Most DFS players have a long history playing season-long leagues, where Yahoo is one of, if not the most popular providers. It’s a familiar brand associated with fantasy sports, and one that could have some real staying power.
Yahoo offers contests for the five major sports: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and CFB. Like DraftKings, Yahoo has the “late-swap” feature, which gives you the option to swap players right up until their respective games have started. Additional features include bulk-entry and lineup editing, quick player replace, and lineup exporting. These features are available to all users to ensure a level playing field.
As RotoGrinders CEO Cal Spears noted in his forum post, Yahoo also “offers a significantly different salary cap puzzle. You’ll often need to go bargain hunting in the $10-14 range to fill out a solid team.” For those looking for a new challenge in DFS, Yahoo could be for you.
Editor’s Note: Missed Yahoo’s Andy Behrens and Brad Evans talking NFL with Dan Back on GrindersLive? Don’t worry, you can catch the replay here! Also, don’t forget that Yahoo Incentives are free all week long!
One of the topics brought up in forum posts quite often is how saturated contests on DraftKings and FanDuel can be with extremely-skilled, professional DFS players. That’s not to say they can’t be beaten on any given day, but it’s a good thing to be mindful of when entering contests. With how new Yahoo is to the DFS landscape – and considering all the season-long players they currently have – one would assume there will be an influx of players who are new to DFS playing on the site. Always play within your limits, but it can’t hurt to see if there’s some opportunity at a new site, and with the deposit promotions we’ll cover below, this will help mitigate some of the risk involved.
An interesting season-long/DFS crossover contest to check out on Yahoo is called the “Champion of Champions.” For this specific contest, winners of every season-long fantasy league at Yahoo will be entered into a daily fantasy tournament during the NFL playoffs, and compete for a grand prize of $50,000, a trip for two to San Francisco, and $20,000 in SeatGeek tickets.
Also, Yahoo doesn’t have a kicker requirement for filling out your NFL rosters, which is always a plus.
Let’s get to the good stuff: the promotions!
