NFL Fans Divided on Netflix's Christmas Day Game Broadcasts

As the NFL partners with Netflix to broadcast this year’s Christmas Day games, a survey of 3,016 passionate NFL fans reveals their thoughts and feelings about this unique collaboration.

We asked fans two key questions:

How Confident Are Fans in the Streaming Quality on Netflix’s NFL Christmas Day Broadcast?

In the realm of streaming confidence, not all fans are sold on Netflix’s ability to handle the big game. Only 15% of fans are entirely confident that Netflix will deliver a touchdown-worthy experience without hiccups.

Meanwhile, 31% are moderately hopeful, sitting on the fence but with a cautious eye on potential streaming glitches.

On the flip side, a combined 66% express some level of doubt, showing Netflix has room to earn fans’ trust on game day

Top 10 Fan Bases That Aren’t Confident

Exploring deeper into the skepticism, Vikings fans head the list of doubters. A significant 48% lack faith in Netflix’s live sports debut. The Seahawks and Patriots fans aren’t far behind, reflecting a general wariness of Netflix’s ability to seamlessly stream the action.

Across the board, various fan bases seem hesitant, ready to critique if Netflix fumbles.

In contrast, 17% strongly oppose the idea, preferring classic streaming content over game day excitement. With 9% also demonstrating opposition to the streaming giant’s move into the live sports world.

Fan Bases That Don’t Want More NFL and Live Sports on Netflix

Survey results show Vikings fans leading once again, this time in their reluctance toward Netflix expanding into sports.

Close followers include Packers and Bills fans, illustrating that some factions prefer to keep sports viewing traditional without mingling with emerging streaming sources.
