- Any Rating (SP-Rtg, C-Rtg) is based on a rating system that has a league average set to 0. Any number below zero implies that pitcher or catcher is easier to steal bases off of than the league average. Any number above zero implies that pitcher or catcher is more difficult to steal bases off of.
- The Rating for both pitchers and catchers is based on Stolen Bases Allowed Per Game and Stolen Bases Allowed Per Attempt data over the past two seasons. These are the two key stats in creating the overall rating.
- Both the 1st and 2nd string catchers are shown below. Be sure to check our MLB Lineups Page to see which one is actually going to be catching that day.
- Color coding goes from blue (best matchup for a base stealer), to green (above-average matchup for base-stealer), to yellow (below-average matchup), to red (bad matchup).
- SP+C1 and SP+C2 – Indicates average rating of Pitcher and Catcher 1 or Catcher 2
