wXX/C 1 – The “XX” in this statistic is replaced with the abbreviation for the particular pitch type. This is a weighted statistic that standardizes how many runs the batter has caused per 100 fastballs seen. A higher total is better here. For example, if Nelson Cruz has a wFB/C of 2.18, it means that for every 100 pitches, he scores or drives in an average of 2.18 runs. The players with the top 10 ratings are shown on this page.
XX% – The “XX” in this statistic is replaced with the abbreviation for the particular pitch type. This shows the percentage of that pitch type in the opposing pitcher’s repitoire. For example, if a pitcher shows a FB% of 53%, it means that 53% of his pitches are fastballs.
XXv – The “XX” in this statistic is replaced with the abbreviation for the particular pitch type. This shows the average velocity of that pitch type for the opposing pitcher. For example, if a pitcher shows a FBv of 92, it means that his average fastball is thrown at 92 MPH.
