College Football Daily Research Buttons FAQ
The Daily Research Buttons were built around two central goals.
1. To make your lineup decisions more efficient every day.
2. To help win you CASH
We want to keep our members in the loop in terms of what we are working on next! So at the end of the FAQ here we have included a list of Daily Research options that are being worked on as we speak and will be released shortly!
ANY BUTTONS WITH A GOLD RIBBON OVER THEM ARE FOR INCENTIVES MEMBERS ONLY. YOU CAN SIGN UP THROUGH OUR LINKS AND RECEIVE INCENTIVES ACCESS TO THESE SITES WHEN YOU DEPOSIT, OR YOU CAN PURCHASE INDIVIDUAL SITE INCENTIVES.

Certain daily research buttons are site-specific, meaning the data found in them is based on the player salary feeds, scoring and roster formats for a specific daily fantasy sports site. You can sort through the available Daily Research buttons by site or sport.

Expert Lineups
Our Expert Lineups are hand-picked lineups from Top Grinders players and contributors. For CFB, these lineups are updated once early in the week for those of you eager to get a jump on your games. They are then updated later in the week to adjust for any injuries or general improvements that can be made. These expert lineups are available for any site with Incentives Plans.
These Expert Lineups are different than the “Algorithm-Projected” Lineup in that they are made by top players rather than based entirely on our Player Projections.

Player Stats Pages
Our Player Stats Pages provide basic statistics for the skill positions in CFB. You can find basic stats for Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers and Tight Ends here. If you go to player stats you will be taken to the QB Player Stats page, you can then click on any other position from there.
Each Player Stats Page (by position) has both general statistics about that position and a 2nd link for Fantasy Points Per Game by daily fantasy site. In the Fantasy Points Per Game page you can see season averages, last 3 game averages and last game score for each of the DFS sites listed above.

The Advanced Statistics is for those daily fantasy junkies who like to go to the next level with their research. This page, updated at the beginning of each week, shows statistics such as red-zone figures, targets, and more.
There is one advanced stats page for Quarterbacks and Tight Ends, and two advanced stats pages for both Running Backs and Wide Receivers. The legend for statistics on each page is shown below:

Market Watch Page
The RotoGrinders “Market Watch” tool helps you track the differences in a players price each week from site-to-site, compared to last week.
The tool compares each player’s salary from the last week of action to their current salary for the upcoming week. This is useful in seeing which players have gained or lost the most value on each site because of a solid or poor performance the week before.
Here you can search for ‘diamonds in the rough’ who may have dropped drastically in price and are still solid contributors. We compare salaries from last week and the current week for College Football at DraftStreet, DailyJoust, FantasyFeud, and DraftKings.
LEGEND FOR MARKET WATCH
- $-Site Name – The change in salary for this player, on this site, from last week to this. A negative number indicates the player’s cost went down.
- Avg. Prop Change – The average price change of a player across all sites, after all sites’ salary caps are made proportionally equal to a $1,000,000 Salary Cap (#N/A are excluded from averages)
- #N/A – No recorded salary for player for either this week or last. This is likely due to a BYE or an early-week game.

Bargain Bin Ballers
Any Daily Fantasy players in the “Bargain Bin” are are at the minimum price-level for their position and site, or close to it. These plays are different than your usual “Value Plays” columns in that there is a strict cap on the price of players listed below (min-price or one-tier up). They aren’t necessarily consistent plays, but if these plays hit, for these prices, they will be game-changers for your lineup.
Typically, around 5-6 quarterbacks, 8-10 running backs, 8-10 wide receivers and 6-8 tight ends that fall in the price range needed are listed. These numbers may vary based on availability of cheap options each week.
Qualifying minimum salary tiers for each daily fantasy site we offer “Bargain Bin Ballers” for are listed here:

Vegas Odds and Lines
The CFB Vegas Odds and Lines page is updated once a week to reflect the spread and total points that are being projected by Vegas Oddsmakers each week. These can be useful in understanding which games are expected to be high scoring as well as which games are expected to be defensive struggles.
On this page we also show a Projected Score which is a function of the spread and total points lines combined. The projected score is calculated as follows:
Favored Team: Projected Score = (Total Points in Game * .5) + (Spread for Game * .5)
Underdog Team: Projected Score = (Total Points in Game * .5) – (Spread for Game *.5)
The Projected Score simply shows you how many points each individual team is projected to score whereas the “Total Points” shows how many points are projected for the entire game(both teams.)
Games projected with a total score of over 47.5 points are shown in bold
- Legend for CFB Vegas Odds
Total Points – Combined score for both teams according to Vegas Lines
Proj. Score(Fav.) – Projected Score for the favored team listed
Proj. Score(Und.) – Projected Score for the underdog team listed

Matchup Notes Page
Player Matchup Notes are here to take you beyond the numbers. Looking at season statistics is great, but sometimes they overlook certain scenarios that could have a major impact on performance. In this page we break down each individual game with a focused look on the factors below. Here are some of the things we look for in this weekly column:
- Player Matchup – Notes if a player is facing an extremely favorable or poor matchup (ex: WR vs. a Shutdown DB)
- Injury/Suspension Notes – Players missing time of note for various reasons
- Split Stats – Player does especially well or poorly in a scenario they are in this week (Turf, Snow, Home/Away, etc.)
- Historic Stats – Player does especially well or poorly over time in a matchup they are in this week (Vs. Team, At Stadium, etc.)
- Miscellaneous – Other information or statistics that could be pertinent to a matchup

Site Scoring Comparison Page
The Site Scoring Comparison Page first shows you the exact scoring systems for each daily fantasy site. Further down, this page runs a number of sample statistical lines for players at each position and shows you which sites that player scores highest on and which that player scores lowest.
This page is useful in understanding where value is most heavily weighted on each daily fantasy site so you can see where to distribute your salary most heavily on that given daily fantasy site.

All Freerolls
The “All Freerolls” button is there to show you which freerolls, whether daily or not, are available on every daily fantasy site. On the left, the freerolls specifically for the site you are looking at for Daily Research are shown. On the right is a list of all upcoming freerolls across all daily fantasy sites. The freerolls listed include exclusive RotoGrinders members only freerolls, which are described further in the next section. At the bottom of each site’s freeroll page is a brief description of that sites philosophy on freerolls and how often they come along.
