Daily Strikeout Predictor FAQ
The Daily Strikeout Predictor combines each pitcher’s strikeout per nine inning splits with the opponents strikeout rate to show you the most likely pitchers to rack up the K’s.
1) Pitcher Splits (Green)
- IP/G – Pitcher’s average innings per game.
- K/9-S – Pitcher’s K/9 this season.
- K/9-L14 – Pitcher’s K/9 over the last 14 days.
- K/9-H/A – Pitcher’s home or away K/9, depending on where he is pitching today.
2) Opponent Splits (Purple)
- K%-S – Opponent’s strikeout rate on the season.
- K%-7 – Opponent’s strikeout rate over the last 7 days.
- K%-LR – Opponent’s strikeout rate vs the pitcher’s handedness.
3) Other
- Avg – The average of each split before that column. (Green is the average of pitcher splits, purple is the average of opponent splits)
4) Projections
- K/9-Proj – Projected K/9. This is calculated as K/9 Proj = (SP K/9 Avg x Opp. K% Avg) + SP K/9 Avg
- K-Proj – Projected strikeouts. This is calculated as K Proj = ((K/9 Proj) / 9) x (IP/G)
