NASCAR Projections Legend

Salary – Draftkings Salary

Starting Position – Starting position as scored by Draftkings, this will not change if a driver goes to the back of the pack before the start of the race

Minimum DK Points – The DK Points that will be scored if the driver finishes dead last and gets no Laps Led or Fastest Lap points

Finish Potential – Represents the projected finish position of the driver relative to the field. The better the grade, the higher the expected finish.

Mover Potential – Represents the projected ability to gain/lose positions, this is highly effected by starting position (Someone starting near the front has little/no ability to move up)

Dominator Potential – Represents the projected ability/opportunity for laps led and fastest laps, this is driven by both starting position and driver ability.

Average Proj. – Represents the average projected DK points. Think of it as if this exact race were to be run 100 times, this is what we project to be each drivers average score over the course of all occurances.

Ceiling – Represents the average + 1 standard deviation, this should represent about the 85th percentile score for each driver. (15th highest score out of 100 attempts).

Floor – Represents the average – 1 standard deviation, this should represent about the 15th percentile score for each driver. (15th lowest score out of 100 attempts).

Pts/$1k – Represents the Avg Projection divided by the drivers DK salary (in Thousands, $8,500 = 8.5). This gives an idea of driver value.
