Player Categories
Players are separated into four categories, so you can quickly find the type of player you are looking for. These four categories are as follows:
Safe – These are the players that you want to be using in your cash game lineups. Based on the matchup and their salary, these players are a pretty safe bet to meet their value, and don’t have as much of a risk of bombing your lineup.
Upside – Players in this category have a decent chance of exceeding their value. This can range from cheap players getting a lot of run all the way to expensive studs who have a chance to explode. These players tend to be a bit riskier, but when they hit, they hit big.
Punt – Sometimes you just want to find a cheap filler so you can fit the best studs into your lineup. This category will point out cheap players that are in good enough situations that they can provide some filler points and save you the cap space to pay up for the more expensive players.
Contrarian – This category will list some outside-the-box players that have a chance to meet/exceed value, but might not be as highly owned. Sometimes separating yourself from the rest of the field can give you a big edge in a GPP, and if you’re looking to go against the grain, this is your category.
