Joe Burrow and Evan McPherson returned to practice Tuesday ahead of the Bengals first round matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders Saturday. Burrow was able to practice in full Tuesday after resting last game while he deals with a knee injury. Burrow is expected to be close to 100% by Saturday and should not be limited at all. This is great news for the Bengals and DFS players as Burrow can be considered in most formats this weekend. McPherson was also able to log a full practice after missing last game and should be in line to handle the kicking duties for Cincinnati come Saturday. The only surprise on the Bengals practice report was Stanley Morgan who logged a DNP with a hamstring injury. Morgan is only expected to serve as receiver depth for the Bengals so his potential absence would not be DFS relevant.
CIN QB Joe Burrow will not start Sunday; QB Brandon Allen will start
Joe Burrow will not start Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, Brandon Allen will draw the start in his stead. The Bengals have already secured their playoff spot and will use this week to rest some of their more important players that have been banged up through the course of the season. With Brandon Allen at the helm the Cincinnati pass-catchers will take a significant hit to their expected production and Allen himself lacks little upside and shouldn't be considered in DFS contests this weekend. Something to note is that HC Zac Taylor hasn't ruled out the possibility of some of his star players (like Ja'Marr Chase) playing this weekend so Allen could still have some playmakers to throw to. It will be important to monitor who ends up being available for the Bengals as the week progresses.

Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins both returned to practice Thursday, while Joe Mixon (illness) and Chris Evans (ankle) logged DNPs ahead of their matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Joe Burrow is expected to start Sunday despite injuring a finger on his throwing hand. Higgins was likely taking an extra day off to manage injuries yesterday and should be ready to go in full this weekend. Mixon's absence is a little worrisome but most players are able to return from an illness by Sunday. If Mixon were unable to play, Samaje Perine would lead the backfield and become a tremendous value option with Trayveon Williams available to back him up. It will be important to check Mixon's final listing on the injury report released tomorrow.
