Norman will likely still be a backup today despite being active.

In a surprising move today, Josh Norman will be benched today for Moreland.

Tackle Trent Williams was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List Thursday. He will end up not playing a game this season, a wasted season for one of the top tackles in the NFL.

Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams ended his holdout Tuesday and is reporting to the Redskins. It isn't clear when he will play, but his return would boost the entire Redskins' offense.

Williams is PFF's ninth-ranked tackle and he hasn't been charged with a sack all season. Unfortunately for Kirk Cousins, DeMarcus Lawrence, who's posted the fourth-best pass rushing productivity rate, attacks from the opposite side of the formation. RT Morgan Moses has been charged with the 16th-most sacks among tackles (4), and one of those was courtesy of Lawrence back in Week 8. Moses also gave up the sixth-most pressures that week (4). While Washington's line is mostly health, C Chase Roullier (hand), who's filling in for Spencer Long, won't be able to play Thursday night. Tony Bergstrom will take Roullier's place again. His PFF grade would be 34th among 36 centers if he qualified.

No surprises here as Reed hasn't practice all week and Williams was limited following Monday's absence. Vernon Davis will be an intriguing DFS option after he burned fantasy players last week in a perfect spot. While his zero-catch game is certainly concerning, he averaged 8.7 targets in the three games prior, and he’s been very effective with his opportunities. Davis has delivered 10.8 yards per target this season, besting the likes of Rob Gronkowski (9.6) and Travis Kelce (8.9). The Cowboys are 23rd in TE DVOA and over the past four weeks, they’ve given up the 3rd-most PPR points to the position. Although he hasn't scored much, Davis is just three shy of the team lead in red zone targets (7) and Dallas has given up three TDs to TEs over the past four games. Williams played the past two games but won't be able to suit up Thursday night against the Giants. With C Spencer Long and his backup, Chase Roullier, also out, the Redskins will be thin on their line once again. Washington listed many notable players as questionable heading into Thursday night although most were fully expected to play - Ryan Grant, Samaje Perine, and RG Brandon Scherff are all officially active. Jordan Reed was ruled out earlier this week, leaving Vernon Davis as Washington's top tight end again. It's a great matchup for him. A tight end has scored on the Giants in every game but one this season and they've allowed the third-most yards (75.2/g and fourth-most receptions (5.9/g) to the position. Davis has picked up five red zone targets over the past three games and he's picked up 8.7 total looks per game during that stretch. He's delivered an impressive 11.0 yards per target this season (for comparison, Rob Gronkowski averages 10.6 and Travis Kelce returns 8.9) and his 16.0 yards per catch leads all tight ends (13th overall).
