Beno Udrih (ankle) officially ruled out for Pistons tonight

Udrih sprained his ankle last night and he's expected to miss their final game on Wednesday as well. Coach Stan Van Gundy said he'll provide Ish Smith and Stanley Johnson will extra minutes in Udrih's absence and he's considering Darrun Hilliard the backup point guard. This is welcome news for Ish Smith has his minutes ticked down a notch last game from his usual 30 to 27. He's been the model of consistency since Reggie Jackson went to the bench, which makes him a nice cash play but his limited upside isn't terribly appealing for tournaments. Hilliard may see more action, but he offers very limited peripherals and there is plenty of better value available. Stanley Johnson offers much more as a player and he'll receive plenty of time without the other four starters. When Tobias Harris, Andre Drummond, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Marcus Morris. This season, his usage increased 3.7% and his FD ppm rate jumped 0.21 to 0.81.

Beno Udrih (ankle) expected to miss final two games

Udrih sprained his ankle Sunday and will likely miss the rest of the season as a result. Udrih had been getting around 20 minutes a night, which means Ish Smith will pick up some more time on the court. Coach Stan Van Gundy reiterated that Reggie Jackson will not play despite the injury to Udrih. Instead, he said he'll roll with, "Stanley [Johnson] and Darrun [Hillard] or play Ish bigger minutes." The Pistons play the Wizards tomorrow.

Reggie Jackson inactive once again for tonight's game against the Nets

Reggie Jackson has been listed as inactive for another game. The Pistons are running out Ish Smith 30+ minutes and using Beno Udrih as his backup. Smith will be a high-floor option against the Brooklyn Nets tonight and should be able to exceed value in a pace up game. Udrih has seen his playing time increase over the last four games but still has not played over 20 minutes. He'll likely continue to remain limited and does not provide a ton of upside. He's still only $3k on DraftKings, so there is some tournament viability if you need a minimum priced guy to fill your utility spot over on DK. Jon Leuer will continue to start at PF but Tobias Harris is playing well off the bench.

Beno Udrih (foot) out on Wednesday

Beno Udrih only played six minutes last night before he had to exit with a foot injury. Udrih was not seeing over 18 minutes so his DFS value was very minimal. With Udrih out, Goran Dragic was forced to play 41 minutes and should see at least 35 on Wednesday. The Heat play the Wizards in a pace up game, making Dragic a mid-range PG with nice upside.

Goran Dragic and Josh McRoberts both expected to play tonight

Both Dragic and McRoberts have missed significant time due to injury but both players are looking as if they will play tonight when the Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks. McRoberts is nothing more than a role player and not a viable DFS option. Dragic can be targeted at times but coming off an extended absence and going against a Bucks team that is 9th in PG DvP it's probably best to wait at least one game before giving him a shot on your DFS roster. Dragic coming back relegates Beno Udrih back to fantasy irrelevance.

Goran Dragic out again for Heat tonight

Dragic has missed his last seven games and will miss another one tonight when the Heat take on the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are 28th in PG DvP meaning it's a good match up for whomever will get minutes for the Heat at PG. Beno Udrih should get the start and would appear to be an excellent value option as he is priced at $4K or less on both FanDuel and DraftKings. However that was what many thought yesterday as well and Udrih only put up 10 DraftKings fantasy points in 20 minutes of play so understand that just because he's starting will it guarantee production. Before Udrih returned from injury, Tyler Johnson had been seeing the bulk of the minutes at the point but he too has been underwhelming as he's only topped 15 DK fantasy points once in his last four games despite averaging 32 minutes a game of playing time. There are better options out there tonight but the match up does make both players punt considerations if you're looking for some value.

Heat to start: Deng, Bosh, Stoudemire, Wade and Udrih tonight

The Heat will use the fourth different starting lineup in four games tonight. Beno Udrih will return to the backcourt with Dwyane Wade and is a viable punt PG option against the Bulls. Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, and Amar'e Stoudemire will be in the frontcourt tonight with Stoudemire likely not playing over 20 minutes. Deng will make for an under-owned option due to his absence with an eye injury. Bosh is a GPP play only tonight due to his tough match up with Taj Gibson of the Bulls.

Beno Udrih and Luol Deng will play tonight for Heat; Hassan Whiteside OUT

The injury depleted Heat will get two players back tonight as Beno Udrih and Luol Deng will both return to action. Hassan Whiteside, however, has been ruled out. Udrih and Deng are both worthy of consideration as value plays against a Bulls team that is 26th in total fantasy points allowed including 27th against PGs and 24th against SFs. Whiteside's absence will mean a bevy of players splitting minutes (i.e. Stoudemire/Haslem); none of which are viable options for DFS purposes.

Beno Udrih confirmed out tonight

Beno Udrih has been confirmed as out for tonight. Tyler Johnson will likely get another start but is a risky DFS play against Kyle Lowry. Tyler Johnson should still see a lot of minutes due to all the injuries on the Heat.

Wade, Whiteside, Deng, and Dragic all OUT tonight; Udrih doubtful

The Miami Heat will be playing very short-handed tonight against the Toronto Raptors as four of their starters have been ruled out. Dwayne Wade, Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic, and Luol Deng all will not play tonight and it's likely that Beno Udrih will not as well as he is considered doubtful. A couple bench players, Chris Andersen and Josh McRoberts are also out. This is going to lead to a ton of value options on the Heat who will be forced to play a small rotation, blow out or not. Chris Bosh obviously gets the biggest boost in terms of usage but you have to worry about how much playing time he'll get. The likes of Tyler Johnson, Gerald Green, Justise Winslow, Amare Stoudemire, Josh Richardson, and Jarnell Stokes should all see 20+ minutes (or more) and are all in consideration as value plays. Johnson, Winslow, and Green figure to be the three guaranteed to get the most playing time while Stoudemire has upside if he can get 20+ minutes like he did when Whiteside got hurt. Richardson has played 30+ minutes the last two games out but hasn't done much with that playing time (hasn't topped 20 DraftKings fantasy points).
