Carl Landry OUT tonight for 76ers; Nerlens Noel top option at PF
Landry will miss his second straight game when the 76ers take on the Raptors. While it'll be a tough match up (Raptors are sixth in PF DvP), it'll be hard to pass on Nerlens Noel on a night where there are only five games and a majority of players minutes will be uncertain. Noel has played 75 minutes (including 42 last game) the last two games and averaged over a fpt/minute in those outings. At under $7k on both sites, he'll likely be highly owned so there is some merit to fading him in GPP's but do so at your own risk as he has as much upside as any PF going tonight. Richaun Holmes continues to be out as well for the 76ers.
Carl Landry out Sunday
Carl Landry will miss his second straight Sunday because of a back injury. With Landry out of the lineup Nerlens Noel and Jerami Grant should get all the minutes they can handle. Both played over 30 minutes last game. Elton Brand should also see a couple extra minutes, but he isn’t a DFS target.
Nik Stauskas starting for Canaan; Nerlens Noel expected to start for Landry
We have confirmed that Stauskas and Noel will be in the starting lineup against the Hornets. Stauskas played 33 minutes on Tuesday and had 26.4 fpts against the Pelicans. At this point in the season the Sixers are basically dart throws if you are rostering them. With a slate that lacks truly expensive players, Stauskas is simply a viable option.
Carl Landry (back) out on Friday; Isaiah Canaan (shoulder) ruled out for the season
Landry will not play against the Knicks. Nerlens Noel will start in his place and should be considered a mid-range option with limited upside. Noel will need to play over 30 minutes to exceed value. Canaan will miss the rest of the season and Nik Stauskas will start in his place.
Elton Brand to start at center; Carl Landry returns to the bench
Elton Brand will be making his first start since April 12, 2015. Brand has been playing well of late but Nerlens Noel returning to the lineup will likely hurt his production. Carl Landry will no longer be a viable option with Brand starting and Noel playing 20 minutes. Landry did a great job in place of Noel and is only a viable option if there is another injury to the Sixers frontcourt.
Nerlens Noel (knee) to play off the bench on Tuesday
Noel will be returning to the lineup after a six-game absence. Noel will be coming off the bench and will only play a maximum of 20 minutes. Elton Brand and Carl Landry are no longer relevant for DFS with all three players splitting the minutes at center. Noel's ownership is expected to be low in a plus matchup with the Pelicans. His asking price of $6,700 makes Noel a high-risk low-reward move on Tuesday.
Nerlens Noel and Richaun Holmes likely out today for 76ers
Nerlens Noel was hopeful he could play today but the 76ers Head Coach stated that him and Richaun Holmes were both likely out for their game today against the Pelicans. Jerami Grant and Carl Landry have both produced well the last two games with that duo out and are good mid-range targets at PF today against a New Orleans team missing their best two PF's. Grant is the preferred option of the two as his playing time is more reliable (as evidenced by his 35+ minutes last game out).
Nerlens Noel (knee) questionable for Tuesday
Noel is questionable for tomorrow's game against the Pelicans. Noel has been questionable for the last six games but missed all of them with a sore knee. Carl Landry has started in his place for all those games, averaging 26.1 fantasy points in about 23 minutes. Landry's salary has spiked slightly for Tuesday but he is still a viable punt option against New Orleans. Confirm that Noel is out the lineup before locking Landry in.
Nerlens Noel (knee) and Richaun Holmes (Achilles) ruled out for Saturday
Noel will miss his sixth consecutive game but has not been ruled out for the season. Carl Landry has been starting in his place and been returning value on his salary. As we mentioned earlier, Landry has had three 30+ fantasy games in his last seven outings. Holmes will miss his third consecutive game but has not done much all season. Robert Covington is the first wing player off the bench for the Sixers. Covington finally had a subpar showing after four games of 30+ fpts. Jerami Grant was back in the lineup so Covington was not able to play more than 30 minutes. Jerami Grant is starting but is still limited to 25 minutes on Saturday.
Nerlens Noel (knee) expected to miss Saturday's game
Noel is expected to miss his sixth consecutive game. Carl Landry has been starting in his place, averaging 25.08 fpts in his last seven games. Landry's is near peak salary but he does have some upside left to consider. Landry has hit 30+ fantasy points on DraftKings in three out of those seven games.
