Dwyane Wade a game-time decision; Chris Bosh not expected to play tonight
Wade was a full time participant in the team shootaround this morning and is considered a game-time decision for tonight's game. Bosh is expected to not play again. Wade is the one most DFS players are keeping an eye on as him playing or not has a huge impact on how to utilize Heat players. If Wade does play, his usage is way up without Bosh and he makes for an excellent option at SG against the Pacers. If he sits, it opens up value from the likes of Gerald Green and increases the usage of players like Goran Dragic and Luol Deng who are both coming off of back-to-back big games. We'll keep an eye on Wade news and update you as soon as we learn more.
Chris Bosh ruled out for Friday, likely to miss significant time
Chris Bosh is dealing with issues resulting from blood clots and has officially been ruled out for Friday. He's likely to miss significant time beyond Friday, and the possibility that this could be career-ending is there. Dwyane Wade's usage rate will see a big bump with Bosh out of the lineup, making him a core play in any format against Atlanta. Hassan Whiteside will likely move back into the starting lineup and he's an excellent upside play against the team with the worst rebounding differential in the NBA. Amar'e Stoudemire is also a fine GPP punt play with Bosh out.
Heat to start: Deng, Bosh, Stoudemire, Wade and Dragic tonight
The Heat have Hassan Whiteside out again tonight and will start Amar'e Stoudemire at center. The rest of the lineup will stay how it has most of the season with Wade and Bosh having the highest upside against the Rockets.
Chris Bosh is a great option again with Hassan Whiteside out
We wrote up Bosh a couple of days ago when Hassan Whiteside was ruled out, and with Whiteside being ruled out tonight it remains the same. Bosh averages 1.2 DK points per game with Whiteside off the court, and he should see at least 35 minutes tonight. The floor is fairly high because of his expected minutes and he makes for a great cash game play. The matchup with the Bucks is intriguing, as they are 24th in DvP vs. PFs. The Heat sometimes like to move Bosh down to center especially when Whiteside is out, and the Bucks are 16th DvP vs. C. Bosh is in a nice spot tonight with Whiteside ruled out yet again and has a great chance to reach value.
Hassan Whiteside is out, Chris Bosh becomes a solid option
Without Hassan Whiteside on the court, Chris Bosh sees a ton of minutes because they like to move him down to the center spot as well. Along with the increased minutes without Whiteside, Bosh averages 1.2 DK points per minute when Whiteside isn’t out there. He has a very high floor because of his expected minutes, and along with the bump in usage makes for a pretty safe option tonight. With Chris Andersen and Josh McRoberts both out as well there really isn’t anyone left to syphon minutes from Bosh. The Nets are 19th and 24th DvP against PFs and Cs respectively, so it is a good matchup with the Nets front court as well. The only downside is the Heat are coming off of a back to backs and the over/under is fairly low, but he still remains a safe option for cash games tonight.
Heat to start: Deng, Bosh, Stoudemire, Wade and Udrih tonight
The Heat will use the fourth different starting lineup in four games tonight. Beno Udrih will return to the backcourt with Dwyane Wade and is a viable punt PG option against the Bulls. Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, and Amar'e Stoudemire will be in the frontcourt tonight with Stoudemire likely not playing over 20 minutes. Deng will make for an under-owned option due to his absence with an eye injury. Bosh is a GPP play only tonight due to his tough match up with Taj Gibson of the Bulls.
Heat to start: Wade, Winslow, Bosh, Stoudemire, and Johnson on Friday
The Heat have only 9 active players and will start Dwyane Wade and Tyler Johnson in the backcourt. Chris Bosh Amar'e Stoudemire and Justise Winslow will start in the frontcourt. Wade was doubtful coming into the game but should be late-swapped into your lineup if you are able to. Wade usually plays well on a national stage and he also missed the previous game, so he should be rested for tonight.
Dwyane Wade (shoulders) out tonight, Gerald Green starting
Dwyane Wade has been ruled out tonight and Gerald Green will start in his place. Green makes for a risky GPP play due to his knee tendinitis but the Heat have no one else that really looks to score. Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside see a bump in value with Wade out.
Dwyane Wade to be a game-time decision tonight; Udrih will start for Dragic once again
Dwyane Wade is officially a game-time decision for tonight's meeting with the Nuggets. Wade will be a nice target if he's able to suit up given that he'll take on more of the ball-handling duties (both his and Chris Bosh's usage rate rises with Dragic out), but if he's unable to play, Tyler Johnson and Gerald Green will both be elite value plays. Bosh would also become an elite play without Wade.
Justise Winslow starting again tonight
Justise Winslow will be starting in place of Hassan Whiteside. Chris Bosh will play the 5 with Luol Deng playing the 4. Look for both players to try and carry the scoring load with the Heat ailing.
