Donatas Motiejunas Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Donatas Motiejunas is expected to play

Unlikely we will see much more than a handful of minutes form Motiejunas, but if he does gain some traction within the Spurs rotation, his skill set meshes very well with the system coach Popovich runs. Something to keep an eye on for future slates.

Solomon Hill downgraded to questionable for Pelicans tonight

Hill has a sore right foot that has led New Orleans to downgrade his status to questionable for their game tonight against the Mavericks. We'll keep an eye on his status but if he can't go, Dante Cunningham and Donatas Motiejunas would stand to pick up the missing minutes with Motiejunas a viable value option if that is the case.

Dante Cunningham OUT for New Orleans today; Terrence Jones questionable

Cunningham will miss today's game for the Pelicans due to personal reasons while Jones is considered a game-time decision with a thumb injury. Donatas Motiejunas could see some extra playing time if the Pelicans feel the need to go big against the Suns, especially if Jones sits as well.

Donatas Motiejunas will play and make Pelicans debut tonight

Motiejunas will make his Pelicans debut in tonight's game against the Boston Celtics and, according to Pelicans' head coach Alvin Gentry, he will be limited to "a few six-minute stretches" for Saturday's contest. Still, Motiejunas' presence in the rotation is enough to lower the minute floors of Dante Cunningham and Terrence Jones, essentially eliminating the trio of forwards from consideration entirely.

Donatas Motiejunas not expected to play tonight

Motiejunas is not expected to play in tonight's game against the Atlanta Hawks after previous speculation that he may be active and make his season debut for the Pelicans this evening. According to Pelicans' head coach Alvin Gentry, it's unlikely Motiejunas sees the floor until their upcoming road trip. Even once activated, Motiejunas will likely be a minutes restriction of some kind as he works his way back into game shape.

Donatas Motiejunas expected to remain in the starting lineup Thursday

Montiejunas is expected to remain in the starting lineup against the Warriors. He only played 15 minutes in Game 2 and will likely not exceed 18 minutes in Game 3. This makes him a low-end option but he does deserve some tournament consideration on DraftKings. His price should remain under $3k (Game 2: $2,500) making him a cheap contrarian play with limited downside. Montiejunas does play better at home, averaging 15.70 fpts in 11 home starts since All-Star break. He has also scored 30+ fpts in two home victories as a starter and deserves a look in a must-win game for Houston.

Donatas Motiejunas confirmed as the starter over Corey Brewer

Montiejunas will start against the Warriors in Game 2. He is a minimum salaried player across the industry and should be used in your lineups. With Curry out of this game, the Rockets should be able to keep it close. Montiejunas will likely see 18-20 minutes on Monday.

Donatas Motiejunas expected to start over Corey Brewer on Monday

After getting blown out in Game 1, the Rockets will tinker again with their starting lineup and likely bring Montiejunas in at PF. Corey Brewer is expected to go back to the bench and is no longer viable in DFS. Montiejunas is a minimum priced player across the industry, leaving us with some nice potential upside. He had 9 fpts in 12 minutes towrads the end of Game 1 so we can expect he should see 18-22 minutes. His FP/MIN is likely to go up but with the small sample we are looking at .75 FP/MIN. If he plays 20 minutes at .75 we should expect his floor to be at 15 fpts. Montiejunas is a strong tournament and cash game play in a game with the highest projected total (218) of the night.

Corey Brewer starting on Saturday; Donatas Motiejunas to the bench

The Rockets have put Corey Brewer into the starting lineup making him a strong punt candidate against the Warriors. Brewer averaged 20.25 DraftKings fpts in 12 starts this season. One of those starts included a game against the Warriors, where he scored 18.3 fpts in 29 minutes. Brewer does have some potential upside for tournaments and should not include too much downside if he can secure over 28 minutes. Montiejunas is not a viable option off the bench.

Donatas Motiejunas to start instead of K.J. McDaniels on Thursday

Motiejunas will return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Wednesday. He is a boom-or-bust option that has the ability to get 30+ fantasy points. On a short slate, Motiejunas offers salary relief at forward. He is averaging 1.25 FP/min when he plays over 20 minutes a game. If he can stay in the game he does have some nice potential. K.J. McDaniels is no longer an option off the bench.
