Doug Baldwin Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Doug Baldwin active today

As expected Doug Baldwin is active today after missing last week's game. With Seatle's continued dedication to running the ball, any interest in pass catchers like Baldwin becomes even less of an exciting play. Playing with various injuries throughout the season makes this even less of an appealing spot for Baldwin.

Doug Baldwin (hip) questionable for Sunday; Rashaad Penny (knee) ruled out

Baldwin was limited in practice and has officially been listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers due to a hip injury, while Penny has been ruled out with a knee injury after not practicing throughout the entire week. The absence of Penny should provide some clarity on the Seahawks running back situation with Chris Carson being the clear lead back and Mike Davis mixing in on passing downs. Tyler Lockett continues to lead the team in targets, but he saw at least six targets for just the second time in the last nine games with Baldwin sidelined for Monday night's win. Since the Seahawks are such a run-heavy offense, Lockett can't really be projected for a much higher target share than that even in a plus matchup versus the 49ers leaky secondary.

Doug Baldwin officially inactive for MNF

Doug Baldwin officially inactive for MNF. He was looking very iffy, especially given that he was missing practices late in the week. His absence will afford Tyler Lockett more of an opportunity to run out of the slot, and should also up his target share in addition to making Jaron Brown a viable Showdown slate target. Brown will see an uptick in snaps and has actually been somewhat of a red-zone option for Seattle. David Moore is the more appealing play at WR, as his snap count figures to rise even further. He is coming off of a game where he had just one target, but prior to that had been a regular contributor.

Seahawks’ WR Doug Baldwin Highly Questionable for Tonight's Game

Seahawks’ WR Doug Baldwin, who did not practice this week due to a groin injury, is listed as questionable for tonight’s game vs Vikings. According to sources of Adam Schefter, it seems like this is a true game-time decision.

Doug Baldwin (hip) and Rashaad Penny (ankle) questionable for Monday night

Baldwin has yet to practice this entire week and has officially been listed as questionable for Monday night's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings due to a hip injury, while Penny is a surprise late addition to the final injury report with an ankle injury. Chris Carson took part in a full practice on Saturday, and he will play in Week 14, which is good news for the Seahawks running back depth if Penny is unable to suit up. As for Baldwin, he is projected to largely avoid Xavier Rhodes in coverage if he plays on Monday night, but he'll be tough to trust in showdown formats given the injury concerns and the overall low passing volume of this Seattle offense. For reference, Tyler Lockett continues to lead the team in targets but has seen five or fewer targets in seven of his last eight games, which is quite a feat in 2018, where offenses are passing and scoring points at a record pace.

Doug Baldwin doesn't practice Thursday; Chris Carson limited

Doug Baldwin doesn't practice Thursday, and it's a new ailment (hip). It's a little unclear what his status will be come Sunday, but Tyler Lockett and David Moore would both benefit if Baldwin can't go. Chris Carson was limited today but they have been managing his reps to a degree late in the season, so this one isn't too concerning yet.

Doug Baldwin practices in full Friday; not on injury report

Doug Baldwin practices in full Friday and is not on the injury report for Sunday. There is also no sign of Chris Carson on the injury report, so the Seahawks should be a full-go Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks WRs are still a risky group with Lockett being the safest of the trio, but David Moore has started to eat more and more into the equation as the season wears on.

Doug Baldwin (groin) will play Sunday

Doug Baldwin (groin) will play Sunday vs the Panthers. Baldwin was limited all week and a true game-time decision, but it appears he is healthy enough to suit up in a favorable matchup against a vulnerable Carolina secondary. Assuming full health, Baldwin makes for an interesting DFS target this week who will likely be very low owned due to his questionable status all week.

Doug Baldwin officially questionable for Sunday due to groin injury

Doug Baldwin is officially listed as questionable for Sunday due to a groin injury. That said, Baldwin was limited in practice last week as well due to the same injury, and then ended up having his best game of the season Week 11 where he compiled 7 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye on Baldwin's status leading up to game-time, as he finds himself in another exploitable matchup against a weak Carolina secondary this week in the event he is able to take the field.

Doug Baldwin (knee) practices in full Wednesday

Doug Baldwin practiced in full Wednesday, and appears on track to suit up against the Raiders this weekend. Baldwin only managed one catch for one yard against the Rams this past week, so it is unclear if he is truly operating at full strength or not. That said, his full practice participation is a good sign that he is building towards 100% as the Seahawks look to bounce back against the Raiders this weekend.
