Dolphins release Isaiah Pead

Pead was part of the infamous four-man committee in Miami that lasted two weeks before the coaching staff realized it was a terrible idea. He happened to be the fourth man in the group, only getting eight carries since Arian Foster went down, so he was never relevant for fantasy purposes. Jay Ajayi had 13 of the 17 rushes for Miami this past weekend. He will remain the lead back if Foster misses more time. Pead's release comes on the heels of tackles Branden Albert and Sam Young getting cut earlier today. Frustrated with the Dolphins' performance this year, coach Adam Gase is trying to shake things up in South Beach. They have a tough matchup with the red hot Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend.

Damien Williams to start at RB for Miami

Williams still isn't likely to see a huge chunk of the workload with Miami running out a four-headed RBBC. He is likely to see the biggest chunk of the carries, but that still may only end up being a 30% rate. This is still a situation to avoid as far as DFS is concerned.

Miami will continue to use a four-man RB Committee

While Arian Foster remains sidelined the Phins will rotate Kenyan Drake, Jay Ajayi, Damien Williams, and Isaiah Pead at running back. There is no reason to target any of these players in fantasy, even starter, Kenyan Drake, managed just 11 touches against the Browns this past weekend. Plus, Cincinnatti hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown yet this season. It'll be much more prosperous to roster players in the Miami passing game if you're playing Thursday slates.

Arian Foster misses practice Thursday

The veteran running back wasn't able to participate in practice today, and will likely miss Sunday's matchup with the ailing Browns. Despite a beautiful game script with the Dolphins favored by 10 points at home against a porous run defense, there won't be much value found in this backfield. Head Coach, Adam Gase, has left the door open for four running backs -- Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams, and Isaiah Pead -- to compete for touches. Plus, the Dolphins have struggled to run the ball thus far, ranking 27th in rushing yards this season. Of course, we can't forget the Browns are the Browns and exposure against their defense will usually be a good thing. QB Ryan Tannehill and WRs Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker are three options worth your attention. On the other side of the ball, the Dolphins defense will be a popular choice this week.
