Omri Casspi Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Kyle Anderson (ankle) will start Monday; Omri Casspi (knee) ruled out

Anderson has officially been upgraded from questionable and will start in Monday's matchup against the Denver Nuggets after missing eight consecutive games due to a sprained right ankle, while Casspi will miss a second straight contest because of a sore right knee and JaMychal Green remains probable with a sore left knee. The return of Anderson will send one of Jevon Carter or Justin Holiday back to the bench to resume a reserve role, but Carter had such a dismal outing in 26 minutes of action in his spot start in Saturday's loss that he appears to be the likeliest candidate to be demoted to the second unit. Assuming Green is able to play his normal allotment of minutes, Bruno Caboclo should see his role in the rotation diminished following an outstanding fantasy performance in 29 minutes of action off the bench with Green limited and Casspi unavailable in the Grizzlies previous contest.

Omri Casspi has been ruled out

Omri Casspi will not suit up on Saturday. Extremely thin due to injury The Grizzlies will start Jevon Carter tonight. Justin Holiday will soak up a ton of minutes tonight, and depending on matchup you can expect to see JaMychal Green and or Shelvin Mack receive a small bump in minutes due to injury.

Garrett Temple out Saturday, Omri Casspi doubtful

Already down wing players Kyle Anderson and Dillon Brooks the Memphis Grizzlies have listed Garrett Temple out tonight with a left shoulder sprain. Omri Casspi would be the person with the most to gain in the absence of Temple, but he is now listed as doubtful on the injury report leaving the team down multiple players for tonight's game vs The Pacers. The minutes normally taken by Temple would have been mostly distributed to Caspi, but now that he is doubtful the team could look to JaMychal Green if they want to go big or Shelvin Mack if they decide to run three guards and go small. We should have some clarity closer to tip about potential starters for The Grizzlies.

Mike Conley (hamstring), JaMychal Green (hamstring), Dillon Brooks (knee), Omri Casspi (illness), and Jevon Carter (illness) available to play Wednesday

Conley, Green, Brooks, Casspi, and Carter have all been upgraded from their previous injury designations and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Joakim Noah remains questionable and is expected to be a game-time decision due to a sore right heel. Noah and Casspi have jointly missed each of the last three games, which enabled Garrett Temple to lead the team with 35.6 minutes per game over that same span. However, prior to this injury absence, Noah had logged fewer than 15 minutes for four consecutive games, so his availability or unavailability won't have much of impact on the remainder of the frontcourt rotation. This entire Grizzlies lineup finds themselves in a tremendous spot versus a Cavaliers squad that ranks 30th in defensive rating to this point in the season, keeping guys like Conley, Marc Gasol, and Jaren Jackson Jr. firmly in consideration for all daily fantasy formats this evening.

Dillon Brooks, Mike Conley and JaMychal Green are active and available to play Sunday night; Omri Casspi, Joakim Noah are inactive

Dillon Brooks, Mike Conley and JaMychal Green are active and available to play Sunday night. Conley is the top play on the Memphis side with Marc Gasol not too far behind. It's likely Conley takes on his typical allotment of minutes (32-37) and he's a fine target in any format. Kyle Anderson is also a viable mid-range option on the Memphis side. Dillon Brooks is active and figures to play somewhere in the range of 10-15 minutes, potentially cutting out Wayne Selden and MarShon Brooks from the rotation. JaMychal Green figures to back up the two bigs with Joakim Noah inactive.

JaMychal Green (hamstring), Mike Conley (hamstring), and Kyle Anderson (ankle) available to play Friday; Joakim Noah (heel) and Omri Casspi (illness) ruled out

Green, Conley, and Anderson are all available to play in Friday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings despite dealing with their respective ailments, while Joakim Noah and Omri Casspi have both been downgraded from questionable and won't suit up for tonight's contest. The absence of Noah should allow Ivan Rabb to remain in the rotation for at least one additional game, but he was limited to just 10 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's loss, while Wayne Selden rounded out the wing rotation and logged nine minutes himself. As for Conley, he's been battling a hamstring issue for over a week and missed one game, but it doesn't seem to be affecting him when he's on the court, as he's played at least 37 minutes in each of his last three games.

Omri Casspi (knee) out Monday

Casspi has officially been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors after sustaining a right knee injury early in Sunday's loss. Casspi has only averaged 12 minutes through seven games this season, so his absence shouldn't have too much of an effect on the remainder of the frontcourt rotation, but MarShon Brooks and Wayne Selden still figure to see a slight uptick in playing time with him unavailable. Shelvin Mack has averaged 26 minutes per game as the primary backup point guard and is still cheap enough to be viable as punt option in tournaments on most nights that lack obvious value plays and has exceeded salary-based expectations in three consecutive games.

Shelvin Mack (thumb) and Omri Casspi (thigh) available to play Sunday

Mack and Casspi have both officially been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Sunday's matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to a sore left thumb and sore right thigh, respectively. Mack has averaged nearly 26 minutes as the primary backup point guard, but Casspi has struggled to find the court in J.B. Bickerstaff's rotation and has been limited to just 13 minutes at the backup forward positions. Mack is still cheap enough to be viable as punt option in tournaments on most nights that lack obvious value plays, such as tonight, and has exceeded salary-based expectations in two consecutive games.

Omri Casspi ruled out Saturday

Omri Casspi will miss his seven straight game tonight against the Kings with an ankle injury. When Casspi was playing he wasn't getting a whole lot of minutes, so him being out doesn't really have any DFS impact.

Draymond Green (illness) will play Thursday; Omri Casspi (ankle) ruled out

Green is set to return from a two-game absence and will play in Thursday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks, while Omri Casspi remains sidelined with a sprained right ankle. With Green and Kevin Durant reclaiming their spots in the starting lineup this evening, both Jordan Bell and either Patrick McCaw or Nick Young will head back to the bench to resume roles. The Warriors are also still without Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, so Quinn Cook is poised to continue starting at point guard and has logged at least 31 minutes in each of the last six games. Outside of Cook, it's been Kevin Durant that has taken over as the primary beneficiary with Curry and Thompson off the court this season, owning a +9.0% usage rate differential and averaging a lofty 1.51 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.50 on FanDuel in this scenario, putting him firmly in play for all formats if he isn't significantly limited by the sore rib that kept him sidelined for six consecutive games.
