Ryan Callahan Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Extreme value alongside Steven Stamkos

It's been years since Ryan Callahan was fantasy relevant, but that’s changing now that he's been seeing consistent playing time with Tampa's second power-play unit. Seemingly at full health for the first time in recent memory, Callahan has averaged nearly 15 minutes of ice-time per game during the month of February. The veteran winger is now slated to join Steven Stamkos and Vladimir Namestnikov on John Cooper's top forward line where he'll look to stay hot as he's racked up two goals and four assists over his last eight games. With four 20+ goal seasons already on his NHL resume, we know he's able to finish around the net given the opportunity.

One last hurrah for Lightning veteran?

The Tampa Bay Lightning top line has been a revolving door all season long, but all indications point to Ryan Callahan skating there at least to start the game. Even if he doesn't, Callahan is a viable source of salary relief given his pricing across the industry (FanDuel - $3,300, DraftKings - $2,900 and FantasyDraft - $5,800). Callahan has been logging 15-plus minutes and even skates alongside a red-hot Brayden Point on Tampa Bay's second power play unit. Antti Niemi was solid last time out, but he could not have asked for a better matchup than the depleted, reeling Rangers. Niemi could be in for a world of pain against this talented Tampa Bay team. Callahan is a viable punt in all formats to load up elsewhere.
