Ryan Strome Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

This winger seems to have finally settled in on his newest team

Playing on the top line in New York seems to be working out so far for Ryan Strome. He's playing alongside Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad and has put up some solid offensive numbers as of late. Since March 1st, Strome has 8 goals and 12 points in 16 games which is a great scoring stretch for him. Tonight the Rangers host the Ottawa Senators — a team that over the last month has a league-worst 41.62 CF% and also a league-worst 67.42 CA/60.

Experiment on the top line for punt center

Ryan Strome has quietly collected 13 points (6G, 7A) in 22 games after the All-Star break which matches his total (13 points) in 48 games before the All-Star break. At the time of writing this, it appears Strome will move to wing on the top line alongside Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider. At just $3,300 on DraftKings, Strome is an interesting tournament target in an exploitable matchup against a poor Detroit defense which has allowed 3.60 goals per game on the road and the second-most goals per game (3.57 GA/G) overall after the All-Star break. Take a chance on Strome.

Value Line Stack

If you're looking for a value line stack tonight, consider taking the third line of Edmonton which features Strome, Slepyshev, and Puljujarvi. They draw a juicy matchup against one of the league's worst defensive teams in the Islanders, who have allowed the second most shot attempts and the third most scoring chances among road teams on tonight's slate. This bodes well for this underrated trio of young forwards, who have quietly generated among the most scoring chances and shot attempts on tonight's slate. With home ice advantage on their side, look for head coach Todd Mclellan to get this trio matched up against one of the weaker defensive lines and away from the top line of New York, allowing Strome to wreak havoc in the offensive zone throughout tonight's game to easily pay off their very attractive price tags.

Value Line Stack

If you're looking for a value line stack tonight, consider taking the third line of Edmonton which features Strome, Slepyshev, and Puljujarvi. They draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst team in Arizona, who despite shoring things defensively at home, can still be exposed on the road. This bodes well for this underrated trio of young forwards, who have combined for the most shot attempts per hour among home skaters on tonight's slate. With home ice advantage on their side, look for head coach Todd Mclellan to get this trio matched up against one of the weaker defensive lines and away from the top line of Arizona, allowing Strome to wreak havoc in the offensive zone throughout tonight's game to easily pay off their very attractive price tags.

Sizzling center provides significant salary relief

It has been a long time coming for Ryan Strome, a player of uncanny inconsistency. However, right now, Strome is dialed in and has picked up at least a point in seven of his last eight games. Altogether, Ryan has five goals and three assists during this torrid stretch. Although Ryan is skating on the third line, he has been a mainstay on the team's top power play unit with superstar Connor McDavid. Strome is dirt-cheap and makes for an interesting punt at center if deciding to pay up elsewhere. Ryan and the Oilers will have the pleasure of taking on a Ranger team that survived last night's onslaught from the Calgary Flames as Henrik Lundqvist stopped 50 of 51 saves in a heroic effort. Look for the Rangers' legs turn to jelly by the third period. Strome's confidence is growing and should be taken advantage of while hot.

Ex-Islander center finally finding his groove

With Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on IR, Ryan Strome has taken on an expanded role for an Edmonton team which has won five of their last seven games. In Strome's last three games, he has logged 22:32, 19:28 and 19:11 of ice time, postinf five helpers in the process with two of those coming on the power play. Not only has Strome but piling up the assists, he has taken seven shots on goal. Strome may be skating on the third line with Patrick Maroon and Drake Caggiula, but Strome is also centering the team's top power play unit. While Strome has failed to live up to the hype after his breakout 2014-15 season with the Islanders, he seems to be gaining confidence with Edmonton this month. He is a great tournament target tonight.

Target This Team's Depth Scoring For Value

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the Oilers in a great spot at home, consider taking the third line of Edmonton which features Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Strome, and Jujhar Khaira. They draw a sneaky good matchup against a banged up Sharks team that will be without their best two way forward in Logan Couture. With home ice advantage on their side, look for head coach Todd Mclellan to get this trio matchup against one of the weaker defensive lines and away from the top line of San Jose, setting the stage for Draisaitl and co. to wreak havoc in the offensive zone throughout tonight's game to easily pay off their very attractive price tags.

Newly Minted Third Line With Great Potential

If you're looking to differentiate your lineup without fading the Oilers in a great spot at home, consider taking the third line of Edmonton which features Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Strome, and Drake Caggiula. Fresh off a multipoint effort in his last game, Draisaitl and his linemates draw a juicy matchup against the league's worst team in Arizona, who continue to allow too many shots and scoring chances to compete in games. With home ice advantage on their side, look for head coach Todd McClellan to get this trio matchup against one of the weaker defensive lines and away from two-way center Derek Stepan, setting the stage for Draisaitl and co. to wreak havoc in the offensive zone throughout tonight's game.

This top line could be the highest scoring on the night.

It looks like the top line in Edmonton is going to be Connor McDavid with Patrick Maroon and Ryan Strome on his wings. This line certainly has a lot of upside and it will be interesting to see how Strome does playing with McDavid. Calgary really struggled to keep the puck out of the next last season, despite the solid top four defense on paper. One of these reasons was their insistence on taking penalties. Calgary was second in the NHL in penalties taken last season, but only had the 12th best penalty kill. The Oilers had a top five power play last season. While it is uncertain whether the three of these guys play on the top PP unit together as well, that doesn’t matter. They’ll see time on either PP1 or PP2. Their upside at even-strength is high and if they play together on the power play, they could end up as the highest scoring line on the slate.
