Terrence Jones Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
John Henson (thumb) ruled out for tonight
Henson will miss Friday's game with the Hawks, which will leave the Bucks a little shorthanded in the front-court. Spencer Hawes is likely to pick up minutes in the teens with Henson on the shelf, and it's not out of the realm of possibility for Terrence Jones to enter the rotation. Either way, the Bucks are going to have trouble with Dwight Howard down low given the current state of the front-court, so this news only further increases Howard's upside. Greg Monroe could also seen a slight uptick in playing time, but his playing time tends to be erratic.
Michael Beasley (knee) will be out at least 2 more weeks
Michael Beasley is dealing with a knee injury and it will cost him another couple weeks. He will be re-evaluated again in two weeks and the team will provide an update after that. Newly signed Terrence Jones was able to participate in practice today but most of the regulars did not participate. Jones should be available to play tomorrow against the Knicks but the team has not provided an official update yet.
Terrence Jones available tonight for Milwaukee, but is unlikely to play
According to Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, Jones is unlikely to play in tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors, meaning his Milwaukee debut will be put off for at least one more game. Additionally, Khris Middleton will play and start despite speculation that he could be rested on the second night of a back-to-back set. This is the first time Middleton will play both games in a back-to-back scenario, but he still expected to remain on his normal restriction of 30 minutes in Saturday's contest. Middleton's role also looks to remain unchanged for at least one more game, as the aforementioned Terrence Jones is not expected to make his Bucks debut this evening.
Terrence Jones to sign with Milwaukee
Jones has agreed to sign a rest-of-season deal with the Milwaukee Bucks after previously being bought of his contract with the New Orleans Pelicans following the DeMarcus Cousins trade. He will add depth to an already crowded Milwaukee frontcourt and it will certainly be interesting to see how Jones is utilized in Bucks head coach Jason Kidd's always fickle frontcourt rotation.
Terrence Jones officially waived by New Orleans
In an expected move, the New Orleans Pelicans have officially announced that they have released forward Terrence Jones so that he can pursue other options. Jones shouldn't have been on your fantasy radar for tonight's slate anyway with DeMarcus Cousins now in NOLA, but Jones should now definitively be avoided in all formats.
Terrence Jones expected to be waived after New Orleans fails to find a trade partner
The New Orleans Pelicans will try to add a guard and waive Terrence Jones. With Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins expected to play 35+ minutes, there was no opportunity for Jones to make a significant impact. No other details have been sent out by the team in regards to Jones.
Dante Cunningham (personal) and Terrence Jones (right thumb sprain) ruled out for Wednesday
Cunningham and Jones will not play in tomorrow's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. With both Cunningham and Jones officially unavailable, Alexis Ajinca will likely draw the start alongside Anthony Davis once again but will not be a particularly viable option on a 14-game slate. The sample size is extremely limited, but in the five games Jones has missed this season, Anthony Davis has significantly outperformed his salary-based expectations in just under 38 minutes per contest. Additionally, Tyreke Evans should still be limited to just 20 minutes of action Tuesday. His presence in the rotation should continue diminishing Tim Frazier's role significantly, if not altogether, and Evans also steals a substantial amount of usage from Jrue Holiday, effectively limiting his projected ceiling to some extent.
Terrence Jones (thumb) ruled out tonight; Alexis Ajinca will start
Jones will not play in tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns after previously being listed as questionable on the Pelicans' injury report with a sprained right thumb that has now forced him to miss three consecutive games. With Dante Cunningham also unavailable, Alexis Ajinca will draw the start alongside Anthony Davis but is not a particularly viable option in a game that should go small. The sample size is extremely limited, but in the four games Jones has missed this season, Anthony Davis has significantly outperformed his salary-based expectations in just under 38 minutes per contest. Additionally, Tyreke Evans will play after previously being listed as probable, but he will be limited to just 20 minutes of action this evening. His return to the rotation will likely diminish Tim Frazier's role significantly, if not altogether, and also steal a substantial amount of usage from Jrue Holiday, effectively limiting his projected ceiling to some extent.
Dante Cunningham OUT for New Orleans today; Terrence Jones questionable
Cunningham will miss today's game for the Pelicans due to personal reasons while Jones is considered a game-time decision with a thumb injury. Donatas Motiejunas could see some extra playing time if the Pelicans feel the need to go big against the Suns, especially if Jones sits as well.
Terrence Jones (thumb) and E'Twaun Moore (personal) ruled out tonight; Tyreke Evans (ankle) will play with 20-minute restriction
Jones and Moore will not play in tonight's game against the Sacramento Kings after previously being listed on the Pelicans' injury report with their respective ailments and designations. Dante Cunningham is expected to remain in the starting lineup at power forward in Jones' place. The sample size is extremely small, but in the three games Jones has missed this season, Anthony Davis has significantly outperformed his salary-based expectations in just under 37 minutes per contest. Additionally, Tyreke Evans has been cleared to play after previously being listed as probable, but he will be limited to just 20 minutes of action this evening. His return to the rotation will likely diminish Tim Frazier's role significantly, if not altogether, and also steal a substantial amount of usage from Jrue Holiday, effectively limiting his projected ceiling to some extent.
