Tiago Splitter Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Sergio Rodriguez remains OUT for 76ers; Dario Saric still on minutes limit
Rodriguez has been out since March 26th and is out once again today meaning T.J. McConnell will likely start at PG and be a viable DFS option. Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter are both available but are not viable DFS options while Dario Saric will continue to be on a 24 minute limit thus removing him as a viable DFS play.
Tiago Splitter (calf) available to play tonight; Gerald Henderson (hip) probable
Splitter is officially available to play in tonight's game against the Brooklyn Nets after previously being listed as probable with a calf injury, while Gerald Henderson remains probably with a hip issue. Splitter played just under 7 minutes in Sunday's contest, so his presence in the rotation does not have an effect on the other Sixers frontcourt players, even with the team shorthanded and Dario Saric on a minute limit. Henderson is fully expected to play but he has really taken a back seat to Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Justin Anderson, and Nik Stauskas on the wing in recent games. That trio along with T.J. McConnell remain the primary Sixers to target with Richaun Holmes and Shawn Long essentially splitting center minutes.
Sergio Rodriguez remains OUT for 76ers; Henderson and Splitter probable and Saric on minutes limit
Rodriguez hasn't played since March 26th and is out again today meaning T.J. McConnell will once again get the start at PG and be a viable DFS option, especially facing the Brooklyn Nets. Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter are both probable but are not viable DFS options while news came out today that phenom rookie Dario Saric will be on a 24 minute limit the remainder of the season thus removing him as a viable DFS play.
Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter both probable for 76ers tonight
Neither player should log significant playing time and are not viable DFS options. They will take a few minutes, however, from the likes of Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Nik Stauskas though so give them a slight downgrade.
Jahlil Okafor and Robert Covington ruled out for tonight; Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter probable
Okafor will not play in tonight's game against the Atlanta Hawks after previously being listed as questionable on the Sixers' injury report with a sore right knee that has now forced him to miss four consecutive games. Robert Covington has also been ruled out with a sore right knee despite never being assigned an injury designation at any point during the day, while Gerald Henderson and Tiago Splitter have been listed as probable. The news of Henderson being expected to play is the most interesting takeaway here, as he will likely backup Justin Anderson and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot on the wing and see substantial playing time. However, Anderson, Stauskas, and Luwawu-Cabarrot are all preferred targets in any format over Henderson, while T.J. McConnell and Dario Saric still remain elite options in all formats and should see a nice usage bump without Covington and Okafor available.
Sergio Rodriguez (left hamstring strain) ruled out for tonight; Tiago Splitter available to play
Rodriguez will not play in tonight's game against the Brooklyn Nets after previously being listed as questionable on the Sixers' injury report with a strained left hamstring. His absence from the rotation significantly raises the minute floor of T.J. McConnell, making him an elite tournament pivot off chalkier options like Tyler Ulis and Ish Smith at point guard. Nik Stauskas is also now in play for tournaments, as he will be required to soak up some backup point guard minutes and extra reserve shooting guard minutes with Gerald Henderson sidelined as well. Additionally, Tiago Splitter will be available to make his Sixers' debut after being recalled from the D-League earlier in the day. His role in the rotation remains unknown but does make Shawn Long a less appealing tournament option given the risk of losing some minutes to Splitter.
Jahlil Okafor and Gerald Henderson OUT for 76ers; Sergio Rodriguez and Tiago Splitter questionable
Okafor remains out for Philadelphia while Henderson has been ruled out after playing in the teams last game with left hip soreness. Sergio Rodriguez has been downgraded to questionable while Tiago Splitter went through the team shootaround and is also questionable. Richaun Holmes will continue to be the biggest beneficiary of Okafor sitting and is a viable option going against Brook Lopez and the Nets tonight. Rodriguez is coming off a solid outing but has been downgraded to questionable with hamstring tightness. If he can't go, T.J. McConnell will see all the work he can handle at the point. With Henderson out and Rodriguez shaky, expect Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to log some heavy minutes as well.
76ers ship Ersan Ilyasova to Atlanta for Tiago Splitter
The deal is still awaiting official league approval but Philadelphia is trading veteran forward Ersan Ilyasova to the Atlanta Hawks for Tiago Splitter and a second round pick (as well as swapping another second round pick). The Hawks add depth in their frontcourt but his value as a DFS option takes a hit as his playing time and usage should see a dramatic dip.
Tiago Splitter and Mike Scott listed as out for Tuesday
Splitter and Scott will remain unavailable to play in tomorrow's game against Cleveland. In their absence, Mike Muscala will continue to soak up a majority of the backup center minutes and is typically the first man off the bench for Atlanta. Though, Muscala draws a difficult matchup with the Cavaliers frontcourt on Tuesday.
Mike Scott and Tiago Splitter out on Saturday
Mike Scott and Tiago Splitter will not play on Saturday due to their injuries. They were not viable options to begin with and Mike Muscala will be the main backup big man. Dwight Howard and Paul Millsap should see over 30 minutes again on Saturday and are the elite options in the Atlanta frontcourt.
