Ty Lawson Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Garrett Temple (rest), Kosta Koufos (rest), Anthony Tolliver (personal), Ty Lawson (rest), and Darren Collison (migraine) all ruled out for Kings

Normal stuff from the Kings at this point as they routinely rule out several players on gameday. Buddy Hield is the most reliable player remaining on the team as he picks up 30 minutes every single night. Willey Cauley-Stein has seen his minutes drop over the past few games, he only played 21 on Tuesday. Rookie Skal Labissiere had earned 30+ minutes for three consecutive nights prior to their matchup with the Suns, but he dropped to 26 in that one. Sacramento facing the Clippers, who will be playing motivated basketball as they're trying to lock up the fourth seed.

Garrett Temple and Ty Lawson will start for Kings tonight

They'll join Buddy Hield, Skal Labissiere, and Willie Cauley-Stein in the starting five as Kostas Koufos, Tyreke Evans, Arron Afflao, and Darren Collison rest.

Kosta Koufos (rest), Ty Lawson (rest), and Garrett Temple (rest) all ruled OUT tonight

Anthony Tolliver (hip) and Arron Afflalo (back) are probable. With Koufos, Lawson, and Temple off the court, Tyreke Evans and Buddy Hield lead the way in usage with 25.7% and 24.4%, respectively. Hield puts up better per-minute fantasy production at 0.88 FD ppm, which is 0.12 ppm better than his average. Hield has routinely been in the mid-30s since he became the starter in Sacramento, a trend that should continue tonight. Willey Cauley-Stein sees a monster 0.16 FD ppm increase in this situation, giving him an average pace of 1.03 FD ppm. He should also get plenty of minutes and he's been more consistent lately. Fortunately for both players, they get to visit the Lakers tonight, who are in the bottom-third in DvP rankings across the board.

Darren Collison (rest) and Ty Lawson (rest) ruled out tonight

Collison and Lawson will be rested and won't play in tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a planned recovery day. Neither point guard appeared on the Kings' injury report at any point throughout the day despite Kosta Koufos, Arron Afflalo, and Anthony Tolliver being ruled out earlier in the afternoon. The Kings have yet to announce their starting lineup and it will be interesting to see who receives the starting nod considering they are now without any active true point guards on their roster with Collison and Lawson sitting for rest. This leaves the Kings with just eight players available, so a case can be made for rostering nearly any of them in tournaments. Tyreke Evans and Garrett Temple are likely the leading candidates to take over ballhandling responsibilities, which puts them firmly in play along with Willie Cauley-Stein and Buddy Hield, who have quickly become the only two mainstays in the Kings starting lineup as the regular season draws to a close.

Ty Lawson OUT for Kings tonight

The Kings have ruled out back up point guard Ty Lawson for their game tonight against New Orleans. Darren Collison. Langston Galloway, and Tyreke Evans should all see some additional playing time but no one receives a boost large enough to thrust them into "must play" territory.

Ty Lawson (quad) upgraded to probable tonight

Lawson has officially been upgraded to probable for tonight's game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as questionable on the Kings' injury report with right quadriceps tendinitis. Assuming Lawson is cleared to play, he will assume his normal reserve point guard role and bring the total number of available Kings players to nine for tonight's contest. With Arron Afflalo, Kosta Koufos, and Garrett Temple all unavailable, Tyreke Evans will likely receive the starting nod at small forward, while Skal Labissiere will likely start at power forward, forcing Willie Cauley-Stein over to center. The Kings minute allotments have been spread out fairly evenly, making it really tough to really key in on one player outside of Cauley-Stein or Buddy Hield as viable options. Even so, given the matchup, they are secondary tournament targets, at best, on the late slate.

Kosta Koufos and Garrett Temple are resting tonight and Ty Lawson (quad) is questionable; Arron Afflalo (personal) continues to be out

Kosta Koufos and Garrett Temple will not play tonight against the Jazz tonight. Koufos and Temple both started against the Grizzlies on Monday so we'll have an entirely new starting lineup again tonight. The Kings did not mention Tyreke Evans on the injury report so we should suspect that he is available to play. Evans will likely replace Temple in the starting lineup and Skal Labissiere will replace Koufos. Both players are volatile plays against the Jazz and carry more risk than reward on a full slate. Ty Lawson is dealing with quad tendinitis and his absence would open the door for Collison to once again play over 30 minutes. Collison is also a risky proposition against the Jazz but comes with a seemingly safe floor due to the minutes and punt level salary. Arron Afflalo continues to be away from the team and no update has been provided on his situation.

Ty Lawson (knee) without an update and Tyreke Evans (knee) listed as out; official status yet to be determined on both players

Ty Lawson was unable to play last night against the Clippers due to a sore knee. Darren Collison ended up playing 28 minutes and will likely have the same minutes allotted to him if Lawson is out once again. Collison remains cheap but has to face a tough Memphis team on the second night of a back-to-back. With the position lacking its usual depth, Collison is still viable, but would only work for GPPs. Tyreke Evans played 21 minutes last night and is expected to rest. Buddy Hield will likely see the biggest usage bump and Garrett Temple should hop back into the starting lineup if Evans is out. This news is unofficial and we expect to get the list of available players after lineups lock.

Ty Lawson confirmed as starter for Darren Collison (rest) tonight; Buddy Hield (quad) will start

Buddy Hield will play and start in tonight's game against the Golden State Warriors after previously being listed as probable on the Kings' injury report with a right quad contusion. Meanwhile, Darren Collison, Tyreke Evans, and Anthony Tolliver will all be rested and won't play in tonight's contest despite never appearing on the Kings' injury report at any point throughout the day. Ty Lawson will draw the start at point guard in Collison's place, as expected. Outside of Lawson, it's tough to really pinpoint which Kings players will substantially benefit from the aforementioned trio's absence, but Willie Cauley-Stein and Buddy Hield seem to be receiving the most consistent playing on a night-to-night basis. The Warriors are expected to run away in a blowout in Friday's matchup, so the Kings rotation minutes may become even more diluted than normal with expected garbage time.

Ty Lawson (rest) and Kousta Koufos (rest) ruled out tonight

Lawson and Koufos will both be rested and won't play in tonight's game against the Milwaukee Bucks despite never appearing on the Kings' injury report at any point throughout the day. Skal Labissiere will likely be inserted into the Kings starting lineup in Koufos' place, which would slide Willie Cauley-Stein over to the starting center spot. There isn't a huge sample size with the aforementioned duo off the court since the trade deadline, essentially when the version of this Sacramento team was established, but Labissiere and Cauley-Stein have really excelled in past instances when Koufos has been held out for rest, making them the primary Kings to target outside of the obvious play of Darren Collison.
