Tyreke Evans is expected to play

Tyreke Evans will be in the starting lineup (previously was listed as questionable) along side Cory Joseph. The pair can make for some good value in the Pacers backcourt, although beware that Edmond Sumner and Aaron Holiday are also expected to see run according to Coach McMillan. The salary you save will not be without some risk of its own.

Tyreke Evans is listed as questionable

Tyreke Evans (knee) listed questionable- with Collison and Matthews already out, the Pacers could be very light on ball handlers and shooters today. Evans is definitely one to watch here, since he would be a potential value play if he's able to go, but we will need to monitor his status.

FanDuel Punt Option

Darren Collison has been ruled out for tonight's game, which opens up some interesting value for the Pacers. With point guard and shooting guard pretty loaded at value, I like Tyreke Evans at small forward on FanDuel. He's $3,700 so he can be treated like a punt option, and small forward is a nice place to use him. He scored 36, 29, and 21 fantasy points in the three games earlier this month without Collison. He also played at least 20 minutes in each of those three games.

Tyreke Evans (personal) out Tuesday

Evans is a late addition to the Pacers' injury report and won't play in Tuesday's matchup against the New York Knicks due to personal reasons, marking the second consecutive game he has missed, though the prior contest was because of an illness. Even when he's been healthy, Evans hasn't had a significant role in the rotation following the arrival of Wesley Matthews, and he's played fewer than 14 minutes off the bench in each of his previous three games. Additionally, Domantas Sabonis returned from a five-game injury absence in Sunday's loss but was limited to just 20 minutes off the bench, which enabled Kyle O'Quinn to surprisingly remain in the rotation and log eight minutes of action with the second unit. However, assuming Sabonis and Myles Turner sees closer to their usual minute allotments in tonight's contest, O'Quinn should go back to being a DNP-CD candidate on a nightly basis.

Domantas Sabonis (ankle) will play Sunday; Tyreke Evans (illness) ruled out

Sabonis has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Sunday's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers after missing five consecutive games due to a sprained left ankle, while Evans has been ruled out because of an illness. In Sabonis' absence, Kyle O'Quinn entered the rotation as the primary backup center and averaged 13.4 minutes off the bench in the previous five contests, while TJ Leaf averaged 13.2 minutes as the backup four over the same timespan. However, with Sabonis back in the fold and presumably not hindered by a minute restriction, both big men are in danger of being on the receiving end of a DNP-CD on a nightly basis, but Leaf did manage to record meaningful minutes in the three games prior to Sabonis' injury hiatus, giving him a decent chance of sticking in the frontcourt rotation moving forward.

Tyreke Evans (illness) will play Saturday

Evans has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Saturday's matchup against the Orlando Magic after missing two consecutive games due to food poisoning, while Domantas Sabonis will miss a third straight contest with a sprained left ankle. In Sabonis' absence, Kyle O’Quinn will continue to be apart of the rotation to absorb most of the vacated minutes behind Myles Turner at center, though T.J Leaf has averaged 19 minutes over the last two games as the primary power forward in the second unit since it would be counterproductive for head coach Nate McMillan to run out lineups with O’Quinn and Turner on the court together. As for Evans, his role in the rotation has been diminished following the acquisition of Wesley Matthews via the buyout market, and he was limited to 16 or fewer minutes in each of the two games prior to his most recent injury absence.

Tyreke Evans (illness) out Thursday

Evans has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Thursday's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an illness that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Domantas Sabonis will remain sidelined for a second straight contest with a sprained right ankle. In Sabonis’ absence, Kyle O’Quinn will continue to be apart of the rotation to absorb most of the vacated backup center minutes, though T.J Leaf and Doug McDermott will be relied upon to soak up a majority of the backup power forward minutes since head coach Nate McMillan is highly unlikely to run out lineups with O’Quinn and Myles Turner on the court together. As for Evans, his unavailability has less of an impact with the recent arrival of Wesley Matthews via the buyout market, but it could enable Aaron Holiday to assume somewhat of role off the bench, though Evans has played fewer than 19 minutes in eight of the Pacers previous 10 games, limiting his minute ceiling.

Tyreke Evans (illness) listed as questionable Thursday

Evans has officially been listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an illness that has already forced him to miss one game, while Domantas Sabonis will remain sidelined for a second straight contest with a sprained right ankle he sustained in Monday's loss. In Sabonis' absence, Kyle O'Quinn will continue to be apart of the rotation to absorb most of the vacated backup center minutes, though T.J Leaf and Doug McDermott will be relied upon to soak up most of the backup power forward minutes since head coach Nate McMillan is highly unlikely to run out lineups with O'Quinn and Myles Turner on the court together. As for Evans, his potential unavailability has less of an impact with the recent arrival of Wesley Matthews via the buyout market, but it could enable Aaron Holiday to assume somewhat of role off the bench, though Evans has played fewer than 19 minutes in eight of the Pacers previous 10 games, limiting his minute ceiling.

Tyreke Evans (illness) out Wednesday

Evans has officially been downgraded from questionable and won't play in Wednesday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks due to food poisoning, while Domantas Sabonis was previously ruled out with a sprained left ankle he sustained in Monday's loss. In Sabonis' absence, Kyle O'Quinn will rejoin the rotation to absorb the vacated backup center minutes, though T.J Leaf and Doug McDermott will likely be relied upon to soak up most of the backup power forward minutes since head coach Nate McMillan is highly unlikely to run out lineups with O'Quinn and Myles Turner on the court together. As for Evans, his unavailability has less of an impact with the recent arrival of Wesley Matthews via the buyout market, but it should still enable Aaron Holiday to assume a significant role off the bench, though Evans has played fewer than 19 minutes in eight of the Pacers previous 10 games.

Myles Turner (hip) and Tyreke Evans (ankle) available to play Monday

Turner has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Monday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons after missing two consecutive games due to a bruised left hip, while Evans will play through a sore left ankle for a third straight contest and averaged 16.4 minutes off the bench over that span. There's been no word of a minute restriction for Turner, so his return will almost certainly send Kyle O'Quinn back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role following a couple of solid fantasy performances in an average of 20.8 minutes in his two spot starts.
