Zach Randolph Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Zach Randolph (personal) will start Friday

Randolph will surprisingly start in Friday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies, replacing the injured Skal Labissiere at power forward, and is set to see his first game action in over three weeks due to what's been classified as a personal matter. Randolph hasn't seen his price tag drastically decrease over this time, but he could still make for an intriguing option in tournaments if willing to take on the variance of his possible minute share outcomes. The Kings are probably one of the most difficult rotations to project at this point in the season, and even though Vince Carter started in Tuesday's win, he logged just 20 minutes and was inefficient from a daily fantasy standpoint. Willie Cauley-Stein also replaced Kosta Koufos in the starting lineup for that contest, which surprisingly led to Koufos receiving a DNP-CD, just further evidencing the unpredictability surrounding this team on a nightly basis.

Zach Randolph (illness) ruled out Sunday

Randolph is still battling an illness and will miss his second consecutive game, which should enable Skal Labissiere to draw the start at power forward once again. Labissiere was solid from a daily fantasy standpoint in Thursday's win, exceeding salary-based expectations in 29 minutes of action, while Vince Carter saw 23 minutes off the bench in the absence of Garrett Temple, who remains sidelined with a sprained right ankle. Shockingly, Kosta Koufos led the team with 32 minutes off the bench, though given head coach Dave Joerger's unpredictable rotations, it's tough to project him or any member of this Kings squad for playing time over the 30-minute mark. Meanwhile, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Willie Cauley-Stein each own at least a +1.8% usage rate differential with Randolph and Temple off the court this season, while Bogdanovic has averaged 0.98 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 0.97 on FanDuel in this scenario as well.

Zach Randolph (illness) ruled out Thursday; Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) probable

Randolph has officially been ruled out and won't play in Thursday's game against the Atlanta Hawks after previously being listed as questionable on the Sacramento Kings' injury report with the stomach flu. Meanwhile, Bogdan Bogdanovic returned to practice on Wednesday and remains probable with a sore hamstring that had forced him to miss one game. Garret Temple absorbed 23 minutes off the bench with Bogdanovic sidelined, but he's already been ruled out due to a sprained left ankle he sustained during practice yesterday, which should enable Buddy Hield to remain in an increased role off the bench. In Randolph's absence, Skal Labissiere will almost certainly be inserted into the starting lineup at power forward but that's merely a formality, as he has seen more minutes than Randolph in each of the previous two games in a reserve role. Unsurprisingly, Bogdanovic and Willie Cauley-Stein each own at least a +2.2% usage rate differential with Randolph and Temple off the court this season, while Bogdanovic has averaged 0.98 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 0.97 on FanDuel in this scenario as well.

Zach Randolph (coach's decision) may not play Tuesday

Randolph may not play and could become a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to "player development", according to head coach Dave Joerger during his pregame media availability. If that ends up being the case, Randolph would be a DNP-CD for the second consecutive game and likely allow Skal Labissiere to start power forward for the second straight night after he logged 31 minutes in Monday's loss. Unfortunately, it's highly doubtful that there will be any confirmation from the Kings on whether Randolph will play or not, and now that the organization appears to back to their old strategy of resting one or two veteran players each game, older players like Garrett Temple, Kosta Koufos, and Vince Carter are all candidates to be DNP-CDs or see their minutes drastically reduced on a nightly basis.

Willie Cauley-Stein listed as day to day

Cauley-Stein returned to practice today but is considered day to day with right knee bone bruise. The Kings are hopeful to get Cauley-Stein back on the court after missing the last two games with the injury. With a practice now under his belt, Cauley-Stein's is on track to play vs the Warriors, which means Kosta Koufos and Zach Randolph would have less appeal. Koufus has played well in his two starts without Cauley-Stein averaging almost 35 DK points per game.

De'Aaron Fox (abdominal) and Zach Randolph (knee) will start Thursday

Fox has officially been cleared to play and will start in tonight's game against the Miami Heat after previously being listed as probable on the Sacramento Kings' injury report with a tight abdominal that limited him to only 10 minutes in Tuesday's win, while Zach Randolph will also start after missing one game with a sore left knee. There's been no update from the Kings on the availability of Skal Labissiere, but he is active, making it highly likely he'll play through his probable designation due to a strained left shoulder. He and Randolph have alternated starts at the power forward spot recently, but Labissiere continues to log more playing time no matter which role he assumes in a given game. There has yet to be a detectable pattern to which Kings veterans will be rested on a nightly basis, but in the four games since the Kings announced their plans to rest two or three veterans each game, Labissiere, Fox, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Bogdan Bogdanovic have been the only players to receive consistent playing time, all averaging at least 29 minutes per game over that span.

De'Aaron Fox (abdominal), Skal Labissiere (shoulder), and Zach Randolph (knee) probable Thursday

Fox and Labissiere have officially been listed as probable on the Sacramento Kings' injury report for tonight's game against the Miami Heat due to their respective ailments, and Fox was limited to only 10 minutes in Tuesday's win with a tight abdominal, while Zach Randolph has been upgraded to probable after missing that game with a sore left knee. Labissiere and Randolph continue to alternate starts at the power forward spot, but Labissiere continues to log more playing time no matter which role he assumes in a given game. There has yet to be a detectable pattern to which Kings veterans will be rested on a nightly basis, but Randolph certainly appears poised to be in the rotation Thursday, assuming healthy, as each was a DNP in Monday's contest. In the four games since the Kings announced their plans to rest two or three veterans each game, Labissiere, Willie Cauley-Stein, De'Aaron Fox, and Bogdan Bogdanovic have been the only players to receive consistent playing time, and they all have averaged at least 29 minutes per game over that span.

Zach Randolph (knee) questionable Tuesday; Skal Labissiere (shoulder) probable

Randolph has officially been listed as questionable on the Sacramento Kings' injury report for tonight's game against the Orlando Magic due to a sore left knee, despite receiving a DNP on the first leg of this back-to-back set on Monday evening. Meanwhile, Skal Labissiere is listed as probable with a strained left shoulder after playing 29 minutes off the bench last night in head coach Dave Joerger's ever-changing starting lineup and rotation. There has yet to be a detectable pattern to which Kings veterans will be rested on a nightly basis, but Randolph and Garrett Temple appear poised to be in the rotation Tuesday, assuming Randolph is available, as each was a DNP for Monday's contest.

George Hill (personal) ruled out Monday; Zach Randolph (dental) probable

Hill has been ruled out and won't play in tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs as he continues to tend to a personal matter that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Zach Randolph has been upgraded to probable on the Sacramento Kings' injury report due to oral surgery that has kept him sidelined for one game. The Kings are still without Frank Mason and there are several ways head coach Dave Joerger could go with his starting lineup sans Hill, but Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic should all be in line for increased playing time on the wing, even though Malachi Richardson could draw the start at small forward for the second time in as many games. De'Aaron Fox is essentially the only point guard on the Kings active roster and this is one of the few times we can feel confident in his minute workload after he logged 35 minutes in Saturday's contest with Hill sidelined. Over the last month, with Hill and Mason off the court, Fox and Willies Cauley-Stein have been the main beneficiaries from a usage standpoint, as each own at least a +3.2% usage rate differential, while Cauley-Stein leads the team with a rate of 1.23 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.35 on FanDuel in this scenario.

George Hill (personal) and Zach Randolph (dental) ruled out Saturday

Hill missed Friday's practice to be with his wife, who is expected to give birth any day, and has been ruled out for tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets to tend to that personal matter, while Zach Randolph has also been ruled out due to oral surgery despite never appearing in the Sacramento Kings' injury report at any point throughout the day. The Kings are still without Frank Mason and there are several ways head coach Dave Joerger could go with his starting lineup sans Hill and Randolph, but Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Willie Cauley-Stein should all be in line for increased playing time no matter what. De'Aaron Fox is now essentially the only point guard on the Kings active roster and this is one of the few times we can feel confident in his minute workload after he logged 32 minutes in his first game back from a partially torn quad in Tuesday's contest. With the aforementioned players off the court this season, Cauley-Stein and Bogdanovic have been the main beneficiaries from a usage standpoint, as each own at least a +4.0% usage rate potential, while Cauley-Stein leads the team with a rate of 1.18 fantasy points per minute on DraftKings and 1.22 on FanDuel in this scenario.
