Aaron Brooks Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Hot Toronto bats (138 wRC+, 24.7 HR/FB last seven days) led by children of former stars
Aaron Brooks stretched out to 23 batters last time out, but has allowed 11 runs over his last 8.2 innings. It’s difficult to find anything encouraging in his profile, which includes a 5.46 ERA, 6.29 DRA, 90.9 Z-Contact%, .365 xwOBA and 42.1% 95+ mph EV. Batters from either side of the plate are above a .330 wOBA and xwOBA against him over the last 12 months. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are suddenly red hot (138 wRC+, 24.7 HR/FB last seven days), being led by the rookie offspring of former major league stars. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (126 wRC+, .211 ISO vs RHP) and Bo Bichette each have a wRC+ above .200 over the last week, while Cavan Biggio (113 wRC+, .236 ISO) has a projected lineup best 52.6 Hard% over that span. With the Blue Jays yet to confirm a starter tonight, oddsmakers have not yet set a line for this game, but it’s probably safe to assume a team total somewhere around five for the Blue Jays tonight.
Rodney Stuckey (sore left knee) questionable for Tuesday
Stuckey was expected to take on a larger role with Glenn Robinson III out but is now questionable due to a sore knee. C.J. Miles moved back to the bench with Monta Ellis starting last night and will likely have to fill in Stuckey's role if he is out. Stuckey was not a major contributor and Miles also underperformed in his new role. Aaron Brooks has seen a slight uptick in minutes over the last four games but is still not seeing enough minutes to make a significant impact.
Kevin Seraphin (sore left knee) ruled out for tonight; Monta Ellis and Aaron Brooks remain probable
Seraphin will not play in tonight's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore left knee. Seraphin's playing time has been minimal and sporadic in recent games, so his absence will not affect the frontcourt rotation in any way. Additionally, Monta Ellis and Aaron Brooks remain probable and are fully expected to play. With Rodney Stuckey still sidelined, both guards will continue to see a slight bump in minutes off the bench behind Jeff Teague and C.J. Miles.
Aaron Brooks (knee) ruled out for tonight; Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) continues to be out
Brooks and Stuckey will not play in tonight's game against the New York Knicks due to sore right knee and sore left hamstring respectively. The news that Stuckey is unavailable isn't all that surprising considering he has missed 12 consecutive games. However, with Brooks inactive, that should free up some additional playing time for Jeff Teague and Joe Young, though the latter is not a viable option on Monday's slate. Additionally, Monta Ellis could see some of the reserve minutes at point guard and has played more than 28 minutes in two of the last three games, making him an intriguing option in tournaments for near the stone minimum across the industry.
Jeff Teague (ankle) warming up, no official update yet; Aaron Brooks will start if Teague is ruled out
Teague is still expected to be a game-time decision for tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons but is reportedly going through warmups in an effort to suit up Tuesday. Pacers head coach Nate McMillan is hopeful that Teague will play, but if he is inactive, Aaron Brooks will draw the start at point guard in his place. Brooks would make for an intriguing tournament option in this scenario but on a slate lacking a plethora of studs to pay up for, he may not be necessary. Paul George should see an uptick in usage, in theory, but has yet to really flash much upside this season and a matchup with the Pistons is far from an ideal one.
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out several weeks
Rodney Stuck will miss a minimum of two weeks and then be evaluated again. He does not have a tear so the team hopes that he can be back with them soon. Joe Young and Aaron Brooks will be the main beneficiaries of this injury.
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) out; Aaron Brooks (knee) questionable for Tuesday
Stuckey has already missed one game due to this hamstring injury. He will continue to be out of the lineup against Lakers on Tuesday. C.J. Miles stepped up in place of Miles on Saturday with 19.8 DKFP. Miles is averaging 19.1 DraftKings DraftKings FPPG and has played over 20 minutes in his last two games. If Aaron Brooks is ruled out Miles is an elite option if his salary does not spike. Brook has not played this season and would likely not see over 10 minutes of action on Tuesday.
Aaron Brooks (knee) ruled out tonight
With Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) and Brooks both officially ruled out of tonight's matchup with Chicago, expect Joe Young to play a limited role off the bench as the backup point guard while Monta Ellis and C.J. Miles handle most of the backcourt duties when Jeff Teague sits and vice versa.
Rodney Stuckey (hamstring) ruled out tonight; Aaron Brooks (knee) questionable
Stuckey left last night's game with a strained right hamstring and was unable to return. Without him for most of the game Friday, Joe Young and Glenn Robinson split playing time off the bench, but C.J. Miles was the primary beneficiary of the extra reserve minutes vacated by Stuckey. Miles should receive a bulk of the backcourt reserve minutes once again tonight. However, Miles is still better utilized as a tournament flier, even with his low price point around the industry. If Brooks is indeed unable to play, expect Young to play limited minutes off the bench as the backup point guard once again. The potential absence of Stuckey and Brooks could also allow Jeff Teague and Monta Ellis to receive more playing time than normal in this depleted Pacers' backcourt.
Aaron Brooks (knee) ruled out
Brooks was added to the inactive list for tonight's game against Brooklyn with a sore right knee. He was active for the Pacers' season opener, but never actually saw the court. Rodney Stuckey will continue to serve as the backup combo guard with Monta Ellis acting as the primary ball handler when Jeff Teague sits. This a slight bump to Ellis' fantasy value this evening, as he will have the ball in his hands more often.
