AJ Derby placed on IR
AJ Derby has been placed on IR by the Dolphins this afternoon, leaving their TE depth even thinner. It's not that they have a lack of options at the position, but the TE spot has been an afterthought in the Miami offense and none of the healthy options are even sniffing the DFS radar this week. Gesicki is likely the best dart throw of the bunch, but there are ample places to look with higher floor/ceiling combinations. The Dolphins are now down to Gesecki, Nick O'Leary and Durham Symthe at the position.

Dolphins TE's A.J. Derby (foot) and Mike Gesicki (shoulder) are both listed as questionable for Thursday night. Derby did not log a practice this week so he appears closer to doubtful, while Gesicki was able to practice in a limited fashion and will most likely suit up Thursday against the Texans.

This has been the prevailing though most of the week, and it should set up Mike Gesicki to continue logging heavy snaps again. He played 83% of the snaps last weekend and only saw two targets, but that could (and should) change this week against the Bengals. Gesicki still isn't safe by any stretch of the word, but there is some contrarian appeal here in large-field tournaments.
Broncos TEs A.J. Derby (shoulder) and Jeff Heuerman (knee) out for Sunday; Cody Latimer (Achilles) questionable
Derby and Heuerman didn't practice all week and have officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a shoulder and an ankle injury, respectively. This will allow Virgil Green to work as the team's primary pass-catching tight-end, though that role has held little value all season with Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders soaking up a massive 48 percent of the Broncos target share through 10 weeks. With Latimer questionable, Bennie Fowler and Jordan Taylor could see some additional snaps at wide receiver if Latimer ends up inactive, but just as with the tight ends, remain relatively nonexistent for daily fantasy purposes.

Two of Denver's TE's will miss this week due to injury leaving Jeff Heuerman as the starting TE. He's not a viable option facing Eric Berry and the Chiefs defense.
