Abdel Nader ruled out Sunday

Abdel Nader will miss today's game with an illness. His normal rotational 15 minutes at the wing could be absorbed by either Hamidou Diallo or Alex Abrines. Neither player should be on the radar as Nader's absence does not really have a significant impact on the team in terms of DFS.

Terrance Ferguson (illness) questionable Monday; Alex Abrines (personal) ruled out

Ferguson has officially been listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against the Dallas Mavericks due to an illness that forced him to be an active scratch in Sunday's loss, while Abrines will miss his fourth consecutive game due to personal reasons after battling an illness that kept him sidelined for the Thunder's previous three contests. Neither Ferguson or Abrines are high usage players in the Oklahoma City offense, so their absences wouldn't have a major impact on usage distribution and fantasy production, but if Ferguson is unable to suit up, Abdel Nader would likely draw another start alongside Paul George on the wing following an underwhelming performance in 16 minutes of action in his first spot start. This news would also enable Dennis Schroder to maintain an increased role off the bench, and he's logged at least 33 minutes in each of the last three games with Abrines unavailable, making him an appealing option for all formats at his mid-range salary across the industry.

Alex Abrines (illness) out Tuesday

Abrines is an extremely late addition to the Thunder's injury report and won't play in the Christmas Day matchup against the Houston Rockets due to a stomach illness, while Terrance Ferguson wasn't included on the injury report and will start this afternoon despite exiting Sunday's loss early with an illness. Ferguson typically sees sporadic minutes as a low-usage starter alongside Russell Westbrook and Paul George in the starting unit, and he's logged fewer than 19 minutes in four of his last five games with Thunder's plethora of depth at the wing positions. However, in Abrines' absence, Hamidou Diallo is likely to receive some additional run off the bench, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot could absorb some nominal minutes as an end-of-the-rotation piece, though neither will likely see enough playing time to become viable for daily fantasy formats.

Alex Abrines (illness) active Friday

Abrines is active and available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets despite continuing to deal with a viral illness that's already forced him to miss three consecutive games, however, there's been no confirmation if he'll actually see minutes in a reserve role. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has played at least 24 minutes in two of the last three games off the bench, but with Terrance Ferguson and Hamidou Diallo sidelined, head coach Billy Donovan has opted to start his two-point guard lineup combination with Dennis Schroder and Russell Westbrook patroling the backcourt. Surprisingly, Westbrook has actually seen an uptick in production with Ferguson and Diallo off the court, as he owns a 35.6% usage rate and is averaging 1.80 DraftKings and 1.83 FanDuel points per minute in a 121.4 minutes sample size.

Alex Abrines (illness) now a game-time decision Friday

Abrines was originally listed out on the Thunder’s injury report, but he’s going to try to play and will be a game-time decision for Friday’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets due to a viral illness. There's been no indication if Abrines will be healthy enough to start in place of the injured Terrance Ferguson or Hamidou Diallo, but if he isn't, that responsibility may be passed to Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who's played at least 24 minutes in two of the last three games off the bench. However, there's always a possibility that head coach Billy Donovan opts to start his two-point guard lineup combination with Dennis Schroder and Russell Westbrook patroling the backcourt. Surprisingly, Westbrook has actually seen an uptick in production with Ferguson and Diallo off the court, as he owns a 35.6% usage rate and is averaging 1.80 DraftKings and 1.83 FanDuel points per minute in a 121.4 minutes sample size.

Jerami Grant (ankle) and Nerlens Noel available to play Wednesday; Alex Abrines (illness) ruled out

Grant and Noel have both officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday's matchup against the Golden State Warriors, while Abrines has been ruled out due to an illness that limited him to just seven minutes in Monday's loss. Terrance Ferguson rejoined the Thunder at shootaround this morning and will be available to play after missing three consecutive games due to a personal matter. Ferguson will reclaim his spot in the starting lineup at the shooting guard position, which will send Hamidou Diallo back to the bench to resume a reserve role following a couple of solid fantasy performances in an average of 20.3 minutes over the last three games. However, Diallo does seem to have asserted himself ahead of Abrines and possibly Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot in the wing rotation, despite the latter logging at least 24 minutes off the bench in the last two contests.

Alex Abrines (illness) will "try to play" Monday

Abrines is officially active and will try to play in Monday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings after missing one game due to an illness, while Terrance Ferguson remains away from the team due to personal reasons. Hamidou Diallo will draw another start at the shooting guard spot following a dismal fantasy performance in 19 minutes of action in his previous spot start, even though he was outproduced by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot off the bench, demonstrating the short leash that head coach Billy Donovan has afforded Diallo in terms of playing time. If he struggles again, the projected wing rotation would become that much more cloudy, especially with Abrines cleared to play, making it difficult to trust any of the three as a punt option in tournaments.

Alex Abrines (illness) now listed questionable Monday

Abrines has been listed as questionable on the most recent version of the Thunder's injury report for Monday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings with an illness that has already forced him to miss one game. Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook is currently not with the team due to personal reasons and is not expected to be available for tonight's contest despite Oklahoma City listing him as questionable. With Terrance Ferguson still sidelined, Hamidou Diallo is still a candidate to draw another start at shooting guard following a dismal fantasy performance in 19 minutes of action, even though he was outproduced by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot off the bench, demonstrating the short leash that head coach Billy Donovan has afforded Diallo in terms of playing time. If he struggles again, the projected wing rotation would become that much more cloudy, especially if Abrines is cleared, making it difficult to trust any of the three as a punt option in tournaments.

Russell Westbrook, Alex Abrines ruled out for Saturday; Hamidou Diallo will start in place of Terrance Ferguson

Russell Westbrook, Alex Abrines have both ruled out for Saturday. Westbrook was looking like a potential GTD, but we at least get a little advanced notice. Paul George and Dennis Schroder both become much stronger targets with Westbrook ruled out, and Diallo does step onto the radar in late-slates with both Abrines and Terrance Ferguson on the shelf. There is some mild blowout risk here but George, Schroder and Adams are all elite plays regardless.

Alex Abrines (eye) available to play Thursday; Jerami Grant starts at PF

Abrines has been cleared and will play in Thursday's matchup against the Boston Celtics despite dealing with an eye contusion he sustained in the Thunder's previous game. The Oklahoma City wing rotation has been extremely unpredictable in the absence of Andre Roberson, as Terrance Ferguson continues to be outplayed by Hambidou Diallo off the bench, and with Abrines officially, available, the situation isn't likely to clear up any time soon. Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook made his season debut this past Sunday and looked mostly like his old self, logging 35 minutes and producing a 32/12/8 stat line, so feel free to fire up in all daily fantasy formats moving forward.
